Before I went to my husband's appointment here at the Neurology Center of Nevada I looked up the directions and noticed the bad reviews. I read allot about cancelled appointments. I advised my husband to call to make sure his appointment was still on. He let me know they called two days prior to verify his appointment. So he did not call. When we arrived they let us know our appointment has been cancelled. She told us they gave us a call but the phone was disconnected. She dialed the phone number in front of us and we showed her our phone with the incoming call and all she said was yup that's us. Make sure to call before you go to your appointment

****For those of you who have visited a doctor's office and experienced being rushed and not heard (this review is for you).**** I saw Dr. Anna Fermin on Wednesday afternoon, she walked in with an assistant (I think, the girl did not look like an intern) for the consultation. Usually, when a doctor is with an intern, they ask if you want the intern to sit in during the consultation (there was no introduction, nor was I given the opportunity to decide). And, instead, I felt was being judged. During this consultation, I had to refer to my notes on my phone so that I could ask questions about my symptom, and the doctor tried to get a glance at my phone. I don't know what gave her the right to do that, but if it had been me doing that to her, I don't think she would have liked that. During the course of the consultation, I tried to ask questions and instead I was being rushed not even 5 minutes into the consultation. My visit there felt like a waste of my time and the copay I have to pay later on, as well as a waste of the insurance's money. It is not in my nature to give bad reviews to any business/professionals, as this is how they make their money, and I often give them the opportunity to make things right. However, in this case, I felt I needed to speak up, especially since my mom experienced the same type treatment by Dr. Young or Yu, not really sure his name, at this location. The complaints on this page about wait-time is no surprise, as the doctors in this office over-book patients to make more money. (Basically, they operate on quantity vs quality.) There are many seniors or sick patients as myself who rely on the doctor's expertise to try to get some relief from suffering or to get evaluated for illness. Nevertheless, doctors are aware that seniors do not like change, so they take advantage of this, overbook their patients and rush them out. If your loved one is in need of a neurologist or any type of medical doctor, do your research and look for good ones as they still exist (Neurology Center had Dr. Cohen, who to me is the best neurologist in the valley, but she moved on probably due to the poor management at this facility.) And by the way, the post below about "The happiest people in life are the givers, not the receivers", this is something this facility needs to learn, a post on Facebook means nothing, actions is louder than words. Instead, show your patients the empathy compassion and the respect they deserve. ~Amarils

Great Drs here but the staff at the front desk are clueless ... it is such a shame to see the lack of training and knowledge displayed . The staff is relatively new so I have been told but the lack of structure and knowledge at this level is unacceptable. Training is badly needed !!!!! Someone needs to help!!!

Stay away from this office. A clear definition of unprofessionalism. From the front staff to the doctors, there is no saving grace at this place. I took my father, who is wheelchair bound and elderly, twice to his appointments here. And twice I was told that someone had called me from their office to tell me my appointment was cancelled. Funny bien I get messages from friends, family, even people I don’t want messages from! But wouldn’t you know it, no messages from this office. Absolute disorder. When we did manage to get him seen by Dr. Yu or as I like to call him Dr. Brash Zero bedside manner, we had already waited over 2 1/2 hours from our original appointment time. Not acceptable. Stay away from this place. This whole office needs a rehabilitation and to be retrained. And send that doctor back to school.
