It's a shame to write something so bitter when I truly like Dr. Ortega. She is a doll! But, the reality is that you are only as good as your team, and her team greatly destroys her brand. Being new to Vegas, I was on the hunt for a good doctor, and after reading reviews on Yelp, I thought Dr. Ortega would be ideal. When I called her office to schedule my initial appointment, they informed me it'd be 6 weeks out, as I was a new patient. Understanding, I scheduled my appointment. The office staff seemed courteous and my first visit seemed delightful...then it all went down hill. Initially, Dr. Ortega and I agreed to refill 4 prescriptions. The next day, I picked up 3 from the pharmacy. The 4th, was never submitted. I called the office, no answer, and I left a voicemail. A day later, I received a voicemail from their office (as I was at work and unable to answer) that stated they didn't know what my prescription was and asked that I call back with the name and spelling of it. Dumbfounded, as this was written on my accounts, or so I imagined, I called back...no response; just a voicemail. I spelled the prescription, provided the milligrams, and said it was a routine prescription, and that I could not understand what the issue was. Surprise, surprise... no call back. Instead, I received a call from my pharmacy 3 days later that the prescription was ready. Slightly calming down and shrugging this off as a one-time fluke, I picked up my prescription. Not only was it a different brand (which I can understand...) but it was a completely different dosage. This was a fact, however, that I did not know until I had taken it and started to have a terrible reaction. I started comparing the packages and realized the error. While all this was going on, I was supposed to go for routine blood-work. Needless to say, due to the negative reaction of the prescription, I called the office (or rather, left another voicemail) to push my follow-up appointment back a week, just to give me more time to be well enough for the fasting. Much to my dismay, I was told that the earliest Dr. Ortega could see me was in 6 weeks. 6 WEEKS. I'm so glad this was just a follow-up meeting and not an unexpected sickness, like a flu or ear infection, because it doesn't seem the doctor would ever be able to see me. Beside myself and not seeing any other option, I scheduled the appointment. Finally, the inevitable straw that broke the camel's back was a letter I received in the mail a month after my initial visit. When checking in upon my first visit, I explained that this appointment would be my annual physical, which is covered by my insurance as a preventive service, which should have no out-of-pocket expense. I have had this insurance company for 5 years, and it had always been treated as such. They agreed....until I received a bill in the mail for $76, because it was listed as a "new patient office visit" - and not the annual physical exam. So, it looks like first thing in the morning, I will be calling their billing department to fight this, too. (Ok, let’s be real...I’ll be leaving another voicemail...) Disappointed is not a strong enough of a word. I am astonished that this type of service can happen in this day-n-age. The office should be utterly embarrassed. If you want a truly kind and compassionate doctor, who you’ll see only once a year, Dr. Ortega is great! But heaven forbid, if you need to call the office, schedule an appointment, or ever fill a prescription, be prepared for the biggest headache of your life. It’s shameful. If Dr. Ortega ever starts her own practice with a new staff, I will be the first in line. But until then, she just lost one patient ... and more will follow if this continues.

I love my Doctor here, but I cannot seem to reach anyone on the new number and every voicemail goes unanswered. Does anyone have an alternate contact number, or perhaps an email?

I have to agree with others that this was the worst experience with a doctor's office I have EVER had. I had one visit that went fine. The doctor was GREAT. I thought I was going to love her. The doctor ordered some tests and told me to come back in a month or two. She said if I had anything change with my condition that I could call her anytime at all. Two months was the soonest I could get back in, and they won't give your results over the phone. I waited the two months and received a call the week before that they just found out my doctor would be out of town that whole week. I got offered an appointment a month later that I wasn't able to take. I had tried to contact this office several times in those two months and never got to speak to anyone. I also never received a call back for any of the messages I left. I ALSO never got a call back when they said they would get my blood work results so I could see a new doctor. It must have been a fluke that I was even able to make my initial appointment. My husband had a similar experience as well, so we will be going elsewhere for medical care.

Quick service! I walked in one day knowing my appointment was at 8? I was 45 minutes early but they got me in after 10 minutes. Completely unexpected. The front office staff is helpful and friendly not over the top though. They are professional. The nurses or med assistants that handle pre check (weight, blood pressure, etc) are great. Additionally, the checkout desk is quick and efficient, always polite and generally engage in conversation. My only complaint, but it is a valley one and not particular for this location, is that it takes weeks or months to see a Dr. I researched for hours to find a Dr that received more than 3 stars and was in my insurance. When I finally found the Dr here she was booked for three weeks and I had a medical issue that required immediate assessment. Frustrated they were able to fit me in with the NP (Pat) immediately. I've seen Pat three times now and he has been very good, he was right on in his assessment of my medical issue and also had the same concerns I had. He listens even as he is efficient. I appreciate the complete treatment I receive while visiting.

This office administration is one of the worst. Being a healthcare provider myself and working in the healthcare these people are disgrace to the healthcare. They do not show compassion patience or tolerance. They also refused to let us use a private room to discuss the matter but continued making statements and going on rudely in front of other patients. They also make mistakes with coding and then refuse to fix it and refuse to listen to the patient. If only my family had read these reviews prior to going we could have saved ourselves a lot of headache, heartache and collections by avoiding this office by all means.
