Dr. Basa is a board certified General Surgeon, practicing with Cedar Park Surgeons PLLC in Texas. She graduated from Rush Medical School in Chicago, and completed her general surgery residency at the University of Southern California, where she was voted chief resident of the year by the surgical faculty. She also completed a fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery and Bariatrics at UCLA. Dr. Basa is a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Texas Medical Association, among many other professional organizations. With her fellow physicians, Dr. Basa treats patients with the most advanced diagnostic and surgical techniques. With a special interest in nutrition and the control of appetite, Dr. Basa performed the first fully robotic Gastric Bypass ever in Central Texas.
