The food was amazing, we loved everything we tried. It came out quickly, hot and delicious! The fried green tomatoes were outstanding and fried gator tail was tasty too. The service was not bad, but was not outstanding. Restaurant was clean and very family friendly. Over all, would recommend to others for a casual deep fried taste of the south.

First off, let me say that the food was great. I have no complaints there. But the service was just horrible. Our waitress did not pleasantly greet us like any other would, but the first thing she said was, "I'm not even supposed to be here." And that showed. We waited forever to get refills on  our drinks, and once we got our food, we still had no silverware. The manager came by and we told him that we didn't have any silverware, so he went in the back to put them together (I thought that was done before!), and when we finally got our silverware after five minutes of our food just sitting there, some of the silverware was dirty. So once again, we had to wait longer to get our utensils while our food just sat there getting cold. Overall, it was just a bad experience with the good food being overshadowed by lousy service. It was a drab place with no pleasant atmosphere, and it just looked like none of the employees wanted to be there. Avoid at all costs, and just head downtown to get better service.

Great food!
Our server Cynthia was fantastic & even provided some small samples of products we didn't order (fish stew, cornbread, collard greens).
We tried it all & wow was it good!
(Some of the best collard greens & cornbread I've ever eaten.)
Everything about the food was 1st class.
I though the price was reasonable considering the large portions that everyone received.
Next time I'm in Charleston I will eat @ the Noisy Oyster again.

Well what can I say? Although I had a very pleasant server, the food was more than forgettable. The fried buffalo oysters, very small and no promised blue cheese or celery came 6 with a lame sauce for $12. The shrimp and grits for $11 came with bacon bits and a greasy ham sauce on rubbery grits with only 6 over cooked small shrimp. I must say this was the second worst shrimp and grits I have ever had and was an example of low cooking and provided a black eye to low country cooking. To end on a high note, the unsweetened iced tea was good.

If you like noisey, this place has ample amounts of screaming babies. I can't tell you about anything but the appetizer fries, because I ordered blackened grouper, and they brought me fried...after a 45 minute wait.

The fries were good. I had a Bloody Mary to drink and it was good. Our server was horrible. Not only did he get both our orders wrong, we heard him blaming everyone else for all the problems in our section. He was even complaining about how his manager was in a bad mood and that's why service was poor.

It wasn't a good experience. We won't come back.
