The waitress was great, very sweet girl. Not much of a wait for my order after I placed it. The food was not bad maybe it was just what I ordered. The gravy was not really good at all and the biscuits I didn't care for much either. I would give it another chance to get 5 stars. I like the environment very relaxed place.

Thia is a great local diner that is tucked into downtown Edwardsville.  The Breakfast Shoe was outstanding and the staff was friendly.  This is the place you go for good comfort breakfast.  Chain places can't compete with local goodness. Looking forward to another visit soon and bringing my in laws.

What a great little gem right in downtown Edwardsville. We stopped in on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The service was fast and friendly, the food was well cooked and tasty and the portions were huge! We will definitely be back.

Decent food, ok prices, but the friendly small town vibe (including local art hung on the walls) is the real highlight

If you are looking for the equivalent to a NJ diner (open 24 hrs, 1 million menu items), this isn't it.  But, if you're looking for the same quality, this is your place.  Fast service and fresh ingredients make this restaurant one of my favorites in Edwardsville.  Worth a stop for any other east coast transplants.
