If I could give 0 stars I would. I went in there with a large bag of designer and brand name clothing. The lady working didn't even look through the top layer and said that she didn't see anything she wanted and walked away from the counter. Completely unprofessional and a waste of the 30 seconds I was in there.

North Syracuse Consignment Shop is not only a gold mine of a store, but it is a place where troubles are left outside the door. Shopping is fun and filled with lots of little unexpected surprises, and the owner is a joy to converse with. She takes the time to listen (which in this day and age is rare) to customers, buyers and sellers, whether it's a question they are asking about a piece of her merchandise or simply advice on a personal matter they are seeking. She is kind, empathetic and an amazing person, not to mention a sharp and successful business woman. She deserves a five star rating for running a clothing store in this sour economy and troubled world that not only enables women to feel pretty and confident again, but also offers affordable prices and pleasant conversation. I haven't found a store of this kind anywhere else in this county or neighboring counties, and I highly recommend it. I don't normally get like this (overly exuberant over a store), but this place blows every other Syracuse consignment shop away.

After selling at this shop twice before with dubious results I decided perhaps the 3rd time would be a charm. NOT SO. I called in January and was told any Friday in February would be OK to bring in clothing for spring/summer. Fridays are open appointment and I could come in during business hours. One owner has always been rather negative and while she has always taken all my items (mostly brand new with tags, high end) It has never been a pleasant experience dealing with her. The third time turned out to be a nightmare. I was greeted with a snotty, "Are those SUMMER?" and a, "UH could you come back in a few weeks?" When I explained this contradicted what I had been told on the phone I was given an Unapologetic, "I'm sorry, there is nothing I can do." Very unprofessional and rude. I will never use this store again and would advise against it for any reputable buyer or seller. A poorly run business will not do well in this poor economy.

I am always satisfied when I shop here.  A great selection of clothes and the staff are very helpful.  I admit that the shoe selection is not very inclusive, but the rest of the items represent a good range of sizes and styles.
