Love Dr. Doan but the opticians there leave a lot to be desired. I wish they could keep the good ones and get rid of the bad ones! Many a time I have been seated with opticians that don't seem to know what they are doing. I have had issues with my left lens in my glasses for the past 6 years and many times when getting a new prescription filled (with extremely minor changes) I can't focus with my left eye. Only one optician was able to trouble shoot and fix this. Of course she now doesn't work there anymore. I went in last week for an appointment and sat down with an optician who seemed utterly confused when I asked her to compare my good glasses with a pair that never worked for me. She then proceeded to take my good glasses (couldn't tell at first since I had no contacts or glasses on - plus the other pair I brought were similar in color) and HEATED THE FRONT OF THEM UP.........I have NEVER seen an optician do that....She also bent the frames downwards on the sides....I asked her to straighten them....When I was about to leave and was wearing them I noticed a bunch of dots near my nosepads on both sides. I said to the front desk person that I thought this was from the optician heating them up since they never were like that. She said oh that looks like hairspray....funny I don't use hair spray and hair spray should come off when you clean them shouldn't it?......Of course they don't come off. There are also a million scratches on them that weren't there before. But the worst issue is my left eye vision seems distorted.....An issue I never had with my current lenses. So distorted it's causing me eye strain and making it harder to wear my contacts. I don't know what part of her messing with the glasses caused the distortion but I have reached out to the office manager (also an optician) to help me. Fingers crossed I can get this resolved.

Fast, friendly, efficient, and more than expected from a "doctor's" office - always feel "at home" there.

Great staff and very thorough yet they got me through so fast I could barely finish the paper work by the time we were done. Hard to find but definitely recommend.

The good: the Dr. seemed knowledgeable and the designer frame selection was impressive. The bad: I have "never" received such poor customer service (rude, condescending). The fact that impolite staff members were put in charge of representing the business in essential steps of the process (choosing a frame, ordering lenses, contacting insurance), completely flabbergasted me. I did not buy their glasses because of this, and would warn prospective customers.

After a horrible experience at Pearle (who got my prescription wrong twice and made my glasses wrong twice), Dr Jones and the team at NVDO properly diagnosed my problem and made my glasses right the first time. Yes, they're a little more expensive ... and worth every penny!
