I had surgery here on 8/29/17. I just wanted to report that I had excellent care. Olga and Gary were my 2 nurses and they were fantastic. If I had to buzz they answered within a minute. Facility was very clean, food was good and from time of check in to check out everyone was top notch. Highly recommend this facility.

I had outpatient procedures done here. Every staff member that I came in contact with was friendly, professional, showed empathy, and worked with me, giving me the reassurance that I needed during this fragile time in my life. The nurses, anesthesiologist, and my doctor came by letting me know what would happen and wanted to know if I had any questions or concerns. I even got a call the next day asking how I was doing and if I had any questions or concerns. Yesterday, I received a thank you note with handwritten get well wishes from the staff members. This was such a positive experience and I recommend Northwest Hills Surgical Center giving them five stars!

The facility is fine. It is what you would consider an average surgical hospital. The issue is with billing. First they charge you up front (which is fine), BUT they will not give you a statement / estimate / anything showing you what you are spending money on. That is all I wanted. But they said over and over we don't do that. This is the only place on earth where you pre-pay for something, and get nothing about what you paid for. Imagine Pre-paying for airline tickets, without getting a receipt about your trip dates, seat numbers, etc. Second, of course, your records are never secure there. It took them 10 days to recover from their system getting hacked (May of 2017) because they never even bothered to download the Microsoft Patch. In that time, they could tell you nothing about anything. Third, they of course over charged me. So I now have an Explanation of benefits showing what I should have paid. But after calling them, they told me it can take nearly 10-12 days more before they can 'initiate' the returns process. If you have a choice, do not go here. It will be an administrative nightmare for you.

Very difficult staff to work with post surgery: I was lied to and patronized. I was told I couldn't see my (minor) child because it was a HIPPA violation!?! Then attending nurse -- the HIPPA guy - started explaining the post-op for the WRONG surgery until we corrected him.

Margaret had retina surgery on Tuesday, 1/24/2017, and the surgery went well. However, there was some difficulty in Recovery which resulted in our remaining in the recovery room for several hours beyond the expected time. The recovery room nurses provided absolutely remarkable care, assessing repeatedly the troublesome functions until they were resolved. Thanks to their attention, Margaret was very comfortable throughout. Thanks to the team members, Dayna, Kirsten, Rob and Stephanie.
