We stayed at the Ocean Mist for a month while looking for our new home in Ormond by the Sea. This motel is family run by Chuck and his lovely wife and 2 sweet kids. They truly care about their motel and make sure all your needs are met. Unlike other motels, this one has pretty green palm trees and other green plants to create a paradise feel and privacy. The rooms are clean and originally quaint, with a bathroom and kitchenette to cook your own meals, with cups, plates, pans, coffee maker, microwave and toaster even. You can see the ocean from most rooms and it's just a quick skip hop across the road to the prettiest beach of Ormond, no high rise buildings here! There is a roof top to enjoy the evening breeze and look out over the ocean with a drink or if you want to eat out, Crabby Chris is right next door for fresh fish and grill food or just a cold beer. Ike's bait and tackle is also right there for all your surf fishing needs, ride table and advise. Kayak, beach cruiser and surf board rental is a short walk up the road. Ocean mist also has a fish cleaning table, an outdoor shower and is pet friendly to all pets who are well behaved. Chuck is strict on decent clientele and does not allow for rowdy, misbehaving guests, always making us feel safe and comfortable with our 2 small children. We have found our new home, but if we get visitors, we will definitely book their stay at the Ocean Mist Motel, for the perfect beach holiday feel.

Love this hidden gem. This location reminds you of the "real Florida". The view of The beach from their balcony was fantastic.  Owner was very friendly. The rooms were clean and bed comfortable.

This place has it all They give you a big refrigerator with s freezer and ice maker , a microwave, a coffee maker, a stove with oven, a toaster, dishes and pans and utensils and table with stools sink and dish detergent and sponge It's like an apartment And the beds are very comfortable They have a big TV and cable and wifi and the owner is very nice and friendly The motel is clean and it's not expensive They charge $75 per night and 2 beds in same room And they have wash and dryer in the premises and the beach is right in front of the motel I love it

Good location, cozy beds, dog friendly, clean and a mini kitchen make it a good stay.

A lovely old school mom and pop motel on the beach on the ocean. It does not get any better than this and priced reasonably too.
