Completely missed the deadline on a print job for a client. I called ahead before picking up the project only to find out it wasn't even started. Had I known they were backed up, I could have taken it to 2-3 other vendors in the area. Update: They rushed the order and to my surprise, completed the job within an hour of my call. It was too late to meet client deadline, but I appreciated the hustle on their part.

As I walked into the store, a young man courteously greeted me. What seemed to be high school student had wonderful manners. However, it all went downhill from there. I was looking for a new printer, but I wasn't dead set on buying it from Office Max. I was also looking for several other small office supplies that I was running low on. In the past, I loved just walking through the store to see what looked interesting. After about thirty minutes I generally would buy some small products. This time I was doing the same after I had picked up my supplies. As I wandered around the store, like a kid in a candy store, I held on to the things I was buying. When I rounded a corner, a middle aged woman glared at me. Her dark brown eyes had the intensity of of a lion stalking its prey. The warmth of the store was gone as quickly as a late summer rain. It seemed as if her focus was miles behind me, yet the glistening eyes full of rage focused upon me and followed each movement I took. I have never been more afraid in my life. Her fiery eyes felt piercing and lethal to my frail old body. I was convinced this was my last few seconds on Earth. As I slowly backed up, the woman (who seemed to be the shift manager) slowly uttered six words: "You're... Not... Buying... Anything....... GET OUT!!!" The scream rang across the building. Everyone in sight turned their eyes upon this madness. I dropped the materials in my hands and ran for my life back to my car. As I was running, I saw the weary eyes of the young boy, which seemed to say "This was not the first time". I used to love spending time at Office Max, but after I saw my life flash behind my eyes, I realized I value my life and family much more than dying while shopping. Until the day I die, their piercing eyes of the manager will be vividly remembered. They will haunt me for decades, just like the eyes of Doctor T.J. Eckleburg represented the death of the American Dream. Edit - As of late, I have been contacted by an employee, saying that the manager wants me to take the review down. While I have added some humor and additional entertainment to the review (all other reviews are so bland), all of the facts were true. Sure, I can understand that the manager could have been in a bad mood that day and may not be a representation of the store as a whole, but I am simply giving a review of my experience. The problem that disturbs me deeply is the blackmail that I am receiving. They threaten to file a Cease & Desist against me. Where has my freedom of speech gone? I understand that stores do not want libel, but my review is missing a major component of libel: being false. The legal blackmail tactics being used are very low; you created a dissatisfied customer so you must withstand my bad review.

I thought I'd name this to be "tremendously adequate" but instead I'll call the stock close to adequate, keeping in mind that it's adequate for the size. It's definitely smaller than the Boulder store and I've run into problems wandering the aisles, wondering if I'll run into what I need or a helpful human first. It makes me hurt just thinking about it, especially when I don't find either. Cleanliness- yes indeed. The store is clean and organized. That's good but I'd rather have a bit of disorder and more stock. Retail does this thing- more sales mean you get a better tier store. Better tier stores get more customers and sell more- and they often skip lower tier stores to shop at shiny new better tier. Lower tier drags along, never "moving up" because why. It's better than no store so thanks I guess.

Bob at the printing counter should not be working there. A person who doesn't understand computers and flash drives is not the person you want handling an expensive printing job for you. I feel like his demeanor is gruff and mean, and every request I had he acted like it was a huge inconvenience and everything he would do for me would be an extreme favor. Typical male "mansplaining" what I wanted to order instead of him listening to what I wanted to order. Get rid of him and hire someone who understands computers and using a respectful tone towards women.

Angela and Bob in the printing department are AMAZING!! I had a very challenging project that other print shops couldn't handle. At this Office Depot they made light work of the project and dealt with all of my perfectionist requests with a smile! The project turned out PERFECTLY
