If I could give 12 stars I would, this is, in the literal sense, the best place to camp, if only we could convince them to open earlier and stay open later in the year !!!

We started going there many years ago, the only improvement is the pool , which is the highlight now, you can't swim in the lake as it is full of green slime, the bathrooms ( woman) are out if order, so port o pottys were put in place, they were disgusting,  . Most of the staff are very kind, but ya have a couple that could use some ppl skills.  They need to bring back bingo, night, movie night, and stay open a bit later than 8  during the week,kids need the game room.....did meet some very nice fellow campers there....

We purchased a new 2017 AirStream BaseCamp at Colonial Airstream and picked it up on the 1st of July, 2017 and then went immediately to Old Cedar Campground to spend the rest of the 4th of July weekend with friends in who camped in an adjacent camping site to ours. The campground is situated in a rural setting with farms and wineries near by. It has both a swimming pool and a pond to swim in and open as well as wooded campsites. Some of the campsites have residential, longterm residents, while others are for short term use. We had a couple of campsites that were back in the woods, and were quiet and comfortable. The only reason why I give it 4 vs. 5 stars is due to the hook ups. We used all 3 - the sewer, water and 30 amp electric. Unfortunately, the water was out near the road, and needed 50+ feet of hose to reach it. Luckily we had and additional 50' hose to go along with the 25' that came with our trailer but our friends in the campsite next to ours, needed to borrow a 25' one from the office of the campground. The electric was situated OK, but the sewer was at the very back of the site, where we needed an additional sewer hose to reach. Luckily we were able to use our friend's in addition to ours to make it, as needed. Everything worked out and we had a great time using it as a base to travel into and around Philadelphia to see the sites (i.e. Wanamaker Organ, Longwood Gardens, Philly Zoo, Revolutionary War Museum, Philly Reserve Bank and Mint, etc.!)

Spent a long 4th of July weekend here and just loved it! It is quiet and family friendly. Sites are nice and wide and very clean. The pool is spotless, and the dirt/gravel roads are very smooth. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, and there's a perfect mix of planned activities and freedom to roam. The longhorn cattle are neat too! A great place to escape the hustle and bustle of life. Staff is friendly yet very serious about upholding the rules for the safety and enjoyment of all. There was even a great little fireworks display we could enjoy right from our site. Overall a wonderful experience, everything a family campground ought to be, and we are seriously considering a seasonal site for next year. We love Old Cedar! Keep up the great work!!!

I was not impressed, the place can use a lot of TLC. The game room was a joke the play area for the kids is out dated and not very safe. I also thought that a family fee included 2 adults and 2 children, not here I was charged an extra $38 for the two children. Thank goodness we did not have to use the bathrooms, I could just image the condition.  I will not return.
