If I could give zero stars, I would. Mary, in particular, is extremely rude and unprofessional. Not to mention they barely attempt to identify whom they are speaking to, and then give out personal information. If you can’t be nice, you shouldn’t work with customers. AVOID this branch and potentially this company!

MS. RUTH HERRERA WAS MY SR. PERSONAL LOAN SPECIALIST. MS HERRERA WAS PROFESSIONAL, POLITE, PERSONABLE AND PERFECT. IF I HAD HER WORKING FOR ME SHE WOULD TEACH OTHER PEOPLE HOW TO TREAT PEOPLE. SHE KNEW HER JOB AND LOVED TO WORK FOR ONE MAIN AND IT SHOWED. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK RUTH.

Opened up a loan to help my now ex. After we split up he refused to help with payments. We used his truck for collateral so I also had to maintain full coverage insurance that he also refused to help pay. After 3 months of carrying the financial load I called OneMain to see if I could refinance. Unfortunately I was unable to do so. Then I called and told them my situation. I asked how I could take his truck off of the loan. I was told that I would not be able to do so. Then I asked about the insurance letting them know he refused to pay for that as well. I was met with a giggling representative telling me that they would tack insurance on the loan and it's not cheap. Hey, thanks for the empathy and help! About a week later I called a different branch and asked for my pay off amount. The representative then asked why did I need to know that? I politely said that I would like to know. I gave her some information and she told me the amount. Right after she asked me if I had that kindof money laying around. A few months later I came up with a plan to transfer most of the loan to a 9 month interest free credit card. It took over a week for One Main to post the payment. In the meantime I called to check on the payment. Maria, manager would ask a question and interrupt, ask another question and interrupt; if you already know the answers- stop asking questions! My husband called a week ago to pay off the balance. Maria told him he needed an authorization code from me. He asked if they wanted the money or not? Maria told him that they didn't like payoffs and hung up. Recap: Hard to reach by phone Rude Insensitive Moving forward, no more One Main! They are paid off and I couldn't be more grateful. I would rather do business with a company that appreciates consumers doing the right things vs. a company that seeks someone's demise. I have read many reviews and it would seem that many are stuck in a no-win situation. 1. Live within your means 2. If you take out a loan to help someone else make sure you are prepared to take the burden 3. If you have already taken out the loan, see if you can, transfer the balance to a low to no interest credit card 4. Or check with your mortgage company to see if you are able to transfer the balance to your existing home loan Best of luck to everyone
