Story

Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan provides total orthopedic care — from diagnosis, to surgical and nonsurgical intervention, to rehabilitation therapy and wellness. We help those who suffer from bone disease, bone pain, or traumatic injury quickly get back to life and work.

After reading the generally bad reviews, we were a bit apprehensive about our first visit to OAM. We arrived about 49 minutes early, mostly because of the comments about limited parking. We were able to just pull into the parking lot and take one of the several available spots. We signed in and were greeted cheerfully by the young lady at the desk. Once signed in, we figured we were going to have quite a wait since we were still 30 minutes early. After less than 5 minutes, we were called back. My wife had X-rays taken and we were shown a couple of seats to wait. Again, less than 5 minutes and we were in an exam room. The nurse, the PA and technicians were all extremely pleasant and discussed my wife’s progress well. Everything about this visit was GREAT, in fact one of the best medical office visits ever! Just goes to show - reviews are a nice guide but may only be from a minority! If you have good experiences, be sure to share those too!

I really enjoyed coming here for a few things with my knees but it was fairly confusing on where to go and what to do with the building and the station out in the parking lot but the service I recited was amazing and the staff were incredibly helpful with my injury!

horrible pick a different place. I have a follow up appointment and it's been delayed by a whole month because I couldn't keep my appointment. my original appointment was for  3pm I didn't get seen until almost 5pm that day. waited way to long to be told most likely I can't do anything for you. here some meds take these see if they work and come back in three weeks. yeah they didn't work.
when I told the lady on the phone so I have to be in pain for another month, she said everybody is in pain. horrible!

Dr. Hedlund is a great doctor and I have never had an issue with him, but he seems to be overworked, overbooked, and always in a hurry. The nurses and office staff are NOT friendly and DON’T seem to be concerned about patient care. I can’t get them to answer their phones, pass along messages, or return phone calls. The office and nursing staff seems unorganized and unprofessional. The office itself is also extremely unorganized. I checked in on the tablet, crutched over to sit down. I got called up to the desk, so I had to crutch over there. Was then told the doctor would call me from the other side. So I crutched to that side of the office just to be called from the side I started on. Such a pain!

LOVE LOVE ALL OF THESE PEOPLE .... I HAD AMAZING CARE.. AND EVERY VISIT WAS TREATED LIKE A “QUEEN”... PATIENT PORTAL.. NOT SO MUCH!!!!!
