Great experience with the Palatine detectives. Very polite and courteous. Everyone I met was helpful and professional. Other departments should take notes from these guys.

Palatine police Dept has no time to give anyone any real information. As a matter of fact, you can call them for information and be reffered to the records dept. who will then tell you how you need to fill out a freedom of information act. Which the front desk could have told you in the first place. But you see, they don't care about anything more than getting home. They will also be the first ones to point out the perils of being a cop, which is only laughable because of the number of police shootings.... 1 in like 30 plus years. In fact, more cops die by donuts than by shootings. Look it up its true. Useless tools with a badge are still useless tools. I will have to update this... Needed to call the Palatine Police because of a robbery. Apparently, $1,000 worth of stolen property is beneath them. Had to investigate my self, Give them the guys who did it in order for them to do anything. Then they just gave the guys a slap on the wrist... With out getting the rest of our property back. Good job guys.

Since the new police department was built, it is very clean, accessible, and the staff are very friendly.

Everyone in the department is extremely professional & helpful. It's a shame that cops get such a "bad rap" in the media. They are just doing there job...at the end of the day they are just like us! They are not out to harm innocent people; their goal is to protect us & when they are done with their shift spend time with their family & loved ones!!
