Even though they have no gluten-free offerings, there were a number of good choices. Corporate emphasis is on healthful eating, for which they provide well, including specialty herbal teas as well as sophisticated coffee blends. We experienced a little mix-up in our order, mainly because, with the masks on, clear hearing is a problem. The manager was on top of it, though, satisfying us generously and completely, without our asking. Staff in general were friendly, helpful. The young person who initially took our order actually came outside on the patio to apologize for the mix-up, which was, for me, a real heads-up action, left me with an even warmer feeling for the place. Very pleasant place -- peaceful upscale ambiance in a low-moderate price range. I love beautiful wood, so I really appreciated their table tops. The landscaping was thoughtfully designed, well executed, as the photos show. Yes, we recommend Panera Bread of Clemmons!
I did curbside delivery on 1/18/23 and met the kindest and coolest individual. She was very friendly and just a neat person to talk with. She had long dark hair. Keep her around Panera! She’s an amazing employee!
Overpriced mediocre food. Check your order before leaving. On my last order, they gave me the wrong soup. On other sandwich orders, barely any tuna or meat on the bread. Other times, they forget items. When it's done right, the food is good. Except for the new chicken sandwiches, ugh. But you can get the same quality or better with more meat for less money at Subway or Jersey Mike's. The bakery items are good though. I only order because I had a gift card. If you're insistent upon going to Panera, I'd suggest one of the other locations in Winston Salem.
This is literally the worst Panera I have ever been to in my life. No one there understands anything about customer service. Walk in and there was no one there to take an order, so I used the self order kiosk. Proceeded to the order pick up where there are several people working behind the counter, none of whom care to say hello or acknowledge my existence. My name pops up as order ready, so I stand up next to the counter for a couple of minutes before someone finally asked if they can help me. I said that my name had popped up that my order was ready, so I was there to pick it up. After asking the girl beside her, they concluded that the order was actually not ready, and then my name disappeared completely from the board. A minute or two later, a bag was placed on the counter, but again no one cared to acknowledge my existence. After sitting there for a minute or so, I grab the bag and looked at the name on the ticket; sure enough, it was for me. Why they couldn’t say “here you go” or “enjoy your meal” or in someway acknowledge that I was still standing there waiting on my food, I have no idea. It’s amazing to staff a restaurant with people that have no interest in talking to customers. The icing on the cake was when I opened my sandwich which had avocado on it, and, rather than slicing the avocado, they put an entire half of an avocado, as one big chunk on my sandwich. The bread looked like it had been rung out before being placed on the sandwich. Not sure how these people are employed.
Waited almost 15 minutes just to order our food. After the long wait, we didn’t receive an “I’m sorry about the wait” or anything. Wish I could say the food made up for it, but unfortunately that was a disaster as well. I can’t believe how rude these employees are to their paying customers. I ordered a bread bowl of tomato soup for my son and it was put into a cup. When I addressed this to an employee’s attention they told me that unfortunately the bread bowl costs extra and they cannot do that. I explained that I knew for a FACT that I ordered it and then a manager came around to show me our ticket and argue with me that I ordered a cup. I guess it didn’t cross their minds that their cashier could have made a mistake. After having to ARGUE with the manager for several minutes about the situation she gave in and dumped the cup of soup into a bread bowl, although she acted pained to do so. To top it off our Caesar salads didn’t have croutons and when my mom went to ask about them she was told they were out of the things they needed to make them. I wish we would have been informed of that while ordering. I think it’s easy to say that we will never be returning to this Panera Bread location.
Absolutely terrible. Forgot to give me an item. Forgot a topping on a sandwich. The best part is the photo attached; it’s supposed to be a grilled cheese.
Dirty with trash everywhere and food quality has gone downhill. I ordered a salad and they subbed it with some other dressing without letting me know. You no longer talk to an actual person to order or pickup your order and you clean your own table, yet they ask you to tip the team. Will not be going back. I’ve always liked Panera bread a lot but it’s not worth it anymore.
I can't believe how far down panera has gone since Covid. The staff is rude, they don't listen to your order. Your order is always wrong, and it's prices are insane. Bagels, that they can't figure out how to keep enough of or how to toast is the main positive qualityFood: 3/5
I got the spicy take to try. It was cold and not worth the money I spent and then I also got the fuji apple chicken salad. This is the 4th or so time I've received it without cheese, the tomatoes were big and not what is usually served I asked for extra onions but they were sliced so thin they had no crunch. I spent 24 dollars on a dinner that I hated. I would rather be told you out of something then serve it how it was served last night
11 9 22 @ 1829 I'm sitting in lot of this store. I've just left. None of the registers were staffed. We asked TWICE if there was someone who could take our order. A guy filling a to-go bag, said, "Ah. No. Not right now. Can you use the kiosk?" I answered, "Ah, no. Not right now." Panera: If I'd wanted to use the kiosk, I would hav. If this were an isolated experience at this location, okay, a fluke and lack of personnel training. This is the 3d time in the past 30 days I've had a like experience.... so don't say it's anything other than poor management. Stop blaming this sort of thing on post covid whatever. I regularly frequent Panera in other areas and this is not the usual... Today I was going to use a gift card, but..... huuum. Let's see what other options are on that card. Get it together. This could be a huge market; location is prime.
