Pappadeaux has yet to disappoint. The food is consistently well prepared and delicious. The drinks aren't watered down (maybe I'm lucky enough to get the same bartender). The wait staff is friendly. This place is usually busy, so bring your patience with you. It's worth the wait.

My friend rolled up from Jacksonville for the weekend. I asked her if she wanted seafood, luckily she likes seafood as much as me. Pappadeaux was right up the street from the hotel, so off we went. The parking lot at this place is chaos during peak eating times and the restaurant is packed. I ordered fried alligator for an appetizer which was nice and tender and fried perfectly. The sauce that came with it was spicy and a great pairing. I ended up just eating Blue Point oysters as my lunch, one dozen of them. They were small, sweet and delicious. My friend had the crab fingers with dirty rice. The sauce the crab fingers came in was super yum. The crab fingers themselves were good, but a lot of work to eat. The dirty rice wasn’t impressive.

This location has super delicious food. The cheesecakes are a tasty treat that will leave you wanting more! The inside of the restaurant is lively, warm, and bubbling with excitement. It is definitely the place to be. Getting in there is the problem! Parking on site is free but a HEADACHE! It is almost impossible to find a parking space so you have to circle parking lot a ridiculous number of times to finally get a spot. All the while you are competing with other drivers who are doing the same. That's only 1/4 of the battle. It takes an extremely long time to gain entrance into the building. The waiting area outside is nice, comfortable, and has a good view but it won't suffice during winter months. We had to wait for 2 hours on our last visit. Once you get inside the restaurant, there is another long wait to have your order taken as well as an additional lengthy time to receive the order. This not a place for a quick bite to eat. It is a time vacuum. The food is fantastic, none the less. Also, it is expensive.

A more upscale restaurant but you won't feel bad if you're casually dressed. It's packed on weekends. The staff is friendly and pretty quick. We had a sick child accident at our table and they took care of it quickly. I got the New Orleans Pasta. It was REALLY good and worth the price!!
