Story

Thank you for visiting the official Parkland Facebook page. We're here to communicate with our patients, potential patients, employees, retirees, stakeholders and all others who are interested in the hospital system’s news.

Parkland was founded on May 19, 1894 at the intersection of Maple and Oak Lawn Avenues. Today, Parkland continues to be a safety net provider of care while serving the larger Dallas County as a Level I Trauma Center and as a regional burn center.

Parkland’s story is one that affects the entire community and Facebook is just one way to share it. Parkland does not censor comments, but it reserves the right to delete comments if they are off topic, abusive or if they contain foul language, spam or advertisements for commercial products. Parkland also reserves the right to ban users who continually use abusive and profanity-laden language toward the hospital system or its patients. Disagreements, feedback and criticism are welcome, but mutual respect is a must and abusive language is not tolerated.
