Story

Parkway Veterinary Clinic in Burke, Virginia, has been serving clients and their pets for more than 30 years. As a modern, full-service clinic, we provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for small animals throughout the region.
When scheduling an appointment, be sure to advise the receptionist of all your pet's needs to allow us to provide both the time and service you deserve. Should you prefer a particular doctor, just let us know at the time of your call.
If unforeseen circumstances arise and you cannot be here at the scheduled time, please call ahead so this valuable time may be given to another in need. With expanded weekday and Saturday hours, we have flexible scheduling for your convenience. You may arrange to leave your pet with us for the day for an exam and treatment.

Highly satisfied with Parkway Veterinary Clinic! I had never been to them before, but I did today because my regular vet is closed Saturdays and this place was conveniently open. I had to go in because my sweet kitty was not feeling well :(. Everywhere else was closed or all booked up, and they were the last place I called and they genuinely felt concerned for my cat and said they would see him (it was last minute too) and they still took me in. This vet told us the pricing upfront so no surprises for us. They were quick and efficient and we can now rest easy our sweet kitty will get better with his antibiotics. I will definitely be back and recommending this place to friends and family!

Very disappointed. As a new client, I showed up a little early to fill out paperwork, which I thought would be appreciated. Instead it annoyed the guy at the front desk because the doctors were all on their 3 hour lunch break?? He was so rude to me that I finally asked the nice lady up front to help me instead. She got me to a room where I sat for 20 minutes listening to doors slamming and doctors and techs bad mouthing people and their pets. I mean, really?? These are our fur babies. If a dog's teeth are the most horrendous, awful things you've ever seen, then at least be professional enough not to blast off about it where other clients can hear clearly. When I shared my initial experience with the doctor, she didn't seem to care one way or the other. Then she very cynically made me feel terrible because the cat I rescued has FIV. Okay, so what? I've come to you for care, not judgement. So, based on this experience, I will not be returning.

I have been taking my pets to Parkway for years and have always had excellent service.  From the kind and helpful front desk staff to the amazing vets, my animals have always been treated with the best of care.  There has not been one time that an emergency has occurred and it hasn't been dealt with immediately by phone or, if needed, a timely office visit.  The entire staff is beyond fantastic!

We have had a wonderful experience with this vet. Have had very positive experiences with each doctor we have seen. Even after hours check up call for a sick Yorkie. Very knowledgeable and caring. Four stars - expect to be on hold for a couple of minutes when you call to schedule a visit. Hardly detrimental enough for an entire star deduction but should be noted somehow.
