My computer screen broke and I tried to fix it myself and it worked great for about 2 days and then quit on me. I brought it in to PC service center since they quoted me the best price on replacing it. It turned out that it was more than just the screen that was messed up and it was going to cost a pretty penny to fix it. Since it was already a cheap laptop I opted to just buy a new one. They were professional and friendly and most importantly they werent pushy and didnt try to get me to spend the money to fix it. When I told them I was just going to buy a new laptop and asked how much I owed them I was shocked at how cheap it was. I know they spent plenty of time troubleshooting and seeing if they could get it to work. I am very impressed with the excellent customer service here!

I am reasonably competent with computers, and so try to solve most problems I encounter on my own. However, any computer-savvy person knows that it pays to have a top-notch technical team standing by just in case. I first encountered PC Service Center in Reno, Nevada when I lived there, and was favorably impressed by their competence, speed, and professionalism. They have access to virtually every part imaginable--all meticulously labeled and organized--so finding a component for upgrade or repair is a snap. If they don't have what they need, they'll order it for you on the spot at rock bottom prices. I've tried going to Best Buy and the other mega-chains, but every time I've been disappointed either by the total lack of regard for customer service or the exorbitant prices. Not so with PC Service Center; you get the low prices of a small, family run business, and the support and expertise of the largest chains. Their technicians are friendly and personable, and are more than willing to work with you to help you figure out the best set-up for your situation. Of course, after moving to the Bay Area, I was delighted to discover that PC Service center had a branch in Pleasant Hill. I have continued to be as impressed with their work as I was with the Reno branch, and would not be surprised if the business continues to expand. Give them a chance; you won't be disappointed!

My regristry became corrupted and the DVD device was no longer recognized. I called the Geek Squad and was told that they would need to keep my PC for up to 7 days while they ran a diagnostic, for which they gave me an exorbitant quote. They indicated that once they identified the problem, they would give me an estimate for an actual fix and would need to keep the computer longer to do this. I called the PC Service Center and they seemed to have a pretty good handle on the exact problem and its cause just from my description of the problem over the phone. He explained how it was caused, the fix he would need to make and gave me really reasonable estimate. He also said I could have my machine back in a little over an hour. I brought it in and it was ready, as promised, a little over an hour later. He ran diagnostics, fixed the problems which was exactly what he anticipated and cleaned up some other annoying things all for the quoted price. Awesome! I was totally impressed and I highly recommend this place.

The power button on my HP Pavilion was stuck and there was no way to start my computer. A business associate in IT suggested the Geek Squad - but I had concerns about service and cost. I did a Google search and came up with a list of repair options. PC Service Center jumped out at me; I called and they said they could take a look (now) and give me a free estimate. Already off to a good start. In my wildest dreams I never thought I'd pick a place that would diagnose the problem and fix it within 15 minutes and at no cost because there was matching front panel with a button in the back room! Sean was also very generous with his time and knowledge and answered several other questions I had. He renewed my faith in world! I will definitely refer all my business and personal associates to them.

I dropped off my computer in the morning, they gave me an update in the afternoon. They actually took the time to explain the problems in detail (although I don't know much about computers), and offered a few solutions and price comparison. I am pretty impressed by the service, AND they delivered it to my house after store was closed.
