Has had my bike for 2 weeks to replace headset, don't return phone calls. Go in physically and keep telling me a few more days. Originally this started out as "I'll have it done tomorrow" but now 2 weeks has gone by. Nice guys but horrible customer service.

I needed to replace the fork on my Van Dessel. The tech looked through a catalog and found one that he said would work well. When I picked it up and took it for a ride around the parking lot I quickly discovered that the front wheel came into contact with my feet as I pedaled prevent safe steering, a dangerous, unacceptable situation. Upon closer examination, I found that the fork was dead straight - no rake. They said they would fix it. Two weeks later, I returned to find that they had installed a fork with rake that works but has both disc - which I need - and cantilever brake mounts - which I don't (looks bad!). What's more, they put a very poor, unprofessional, flat black spray paint job on it complete with runs and drips. I have no reason to believe they even used any primer. This is a used fork (they say it was a "take off") with a crappy amateur paint job for the full price of a new fork with proper paint. Here's the thing: I could have gone to Reno Bike Project, found a used fork, gave it a lousy paint job and installed it for around $10.00. Instead, I chose to go to the local "experts" to have a new fork installed right. What I got instead is a $10.00 job for $142.00. When I expressed my displeasure with paying so much for a lousy job, they basically blew me off by saying, "Hey, we have a lot of work in on this" making it clear they weren't going to work with me. Sadly, I can't recommend these guys. I'm afraid they're hacks. Does the fork work? Yes. Is it a job well done at a fair price? Absolutely not.
