I went to five bike shops last weekend to find a new mountain bike and Velo Reno had the exact bike I wanted. The owner, Richard, is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I am only going to take my bike to Velo from now on.

I had a crank arm that had stripped out pedal threads.  They were able to heli coil some new threads in the crank by the next day.  Price really reasonable.  Every was friendly. Great place!

I am a beginner bike rider and these guys fitted me, explained things and really went out of their way to make sure I bought what i needed.  I will definitely will bring my business to these guys.

I've purchased bikes at 5 shops in Reno.  This was the best experience I've had.  

Things that set them apart:
Knowledge/appropriateness  - They know their product lines and customers (meaning proper sizing) very well.  They even encouraged me to purchase a cheaper bike because they thought it would fit my needs better.  
Set-up - The bicycle fitting process was much more comprehensive and therefore time-consuming than I've experienced elsewhere (despite this being an affordable bike).  I am confident that it was done right, and it was free.  

I will be back.
