Wow a lot of bad reviews here and I don’t know why??? I always shop on the retail side and my experience is always pleasant. Recently visited the store it’s different from my last visit, but the team is still the same. The manager Harris has been there for a while he is always super helpful, his team is trained in putting the customer first. The added inventory helps don’t have to wait to have parts delivered to the store anymore they have it in stock and my brakes were 25% off!! Great people, Great parts at a great price.

I've shopped here for automotive supplies almost weekly, and for that they are fine if you bring your coupon with you, although they did just cut their inventory which is a bummer. However I just got a tire purchased and installed, that experience was a frustrating mess. If you don't know here is a tip, pep-boy's products are marked at a higher price compared to literally anywhere else they are sold. Hence the beautiful fact that they offer a price match guarantee . However, I was able to show multiples of other competing competitor's prices that ranged from $164 to $180, pep-boy's price for the same item was $252. The best that the assistant service manager was able to for me was to mark it down to $200 (still about $10 more expensive than the most expensive leading competitor, Tirerack at $180 + about 9 dollars tax). I was then literally told by one of the associates (in front of other customers) that "they need to make a little, and don't you care about us and us making some?" I was livid, I have never been told something like that after going to this location for 7 years. I agreed to buy the tire out of necessity and time being a major factor where I was willing to throw away the $20 that they still up-charged the tire for. This morning once the job was done and I later checked my trunk and I discovered they never put the spare back in my car! To the service associate that is okay with up-charging to make extra money for themselves, I am not sure if you are aware, I could have ordered that tire ONLINE myself even through pep-boys and scheduled ONLINE once again by myself. What do you need an extra cut of money from? your not even the one installing the tire!

You can make an appointment they won't keep, they'll make assurances they can't honor, and you'll find employees whose puzzlement at the depths of Pep Boys' institutional ineptitude does nothing to assuage your anger or fix your car. About the only good thing I can say about this Pep Boys is that their location *was* convenient for me. I stopped going a number of years ago when the problems caused and expenses incurred began to outweigh their convenience and service. One of the few things that *had* worked out in the long run, however, was a purchase of new tires and a five-year warranty. So when a screw lodged itself between the treads of my left rear tire, I sought to reap the benefits of that warranty. Apparently, their problems have only gotten worse. At 4:00pm on a Saturday, I made an online appointment for 6:00pm later that day. I showed up at 5:50pm and was told that there was only one guy working in the garage with two cars ahead of me. The service desk employee insinuated that he could not guarantee my tire would be fixed by the time they closed at 8:00pm. The online appointment I made included both my e-mail address and phone number, yet I received no notification of this issue. Strike one. Fortunately, I was able to borrow someone else's car for the evening, and this Pep Boys is close enough to my place of employment that I could pick it up the following day before work. I told the service desk employee I'd return shortly to drop off my car and he said he'd be there. When I returned, I waited at the service desk for 20 minutes. I laid out the specifics, namely that the left rear tire had been pierced by a screw lodged between the treads, and that the tires were under warranty before asking if the car would be ready by Sunday afternoon. He assured me the tire would be fixed first thing in the morning and the car would be ready when I returned at 3:00pm, but took my phone number as a precaution. Seeing as this variety of tire trouble is fairly common, and the offending screw pierced between the treads rather than the shoulder or sidewall, a quick fix should take a few minutes. A half hour, at most. I'm sure it could've been done while I waited, but despite the failure to honor my appointment, I like to think of myself as fairly reasonable. After all, I had the assurance that it would be fixed first thing in the morning, and since I was picking the car up six hours after they opened, I wasn't concerned. I received no calls that evening or the following morning, so I arrived at Pep Boys on Sunday by 2:45pm and saw my car parked in the same spot I'd left it the previous day. A harbinger of doom: my tire was not fixed because there were "a lot of inspections". Strike two. I informed a different employee at the service desk about my botched appointment the previous day at 6:00pm and that, having failed to honor that appointment, his colleague assured me the repairs would be done first thing in the morning. While I was furious, I also felt bad for him, because it was clear that none of this information had been relayed to him. Strike three. He offered to fix the tire for free - moot, given the warranty (another vital bit of information not relayed) - then offered to fix the tire immediately, which would hardly rectify the problem as I was due at work in 15 minutes. He apologized profusely and offered me a card for a free oil change and tire rotation, which I accepted. Will I use it at this location? Absolutely not. If another Pep Boys refuses to honor it, no force on heaven or earth could convince me to return to this franchise.

Just had my 2006 Caravan serviced here, as usual the service writer was very professional and helpful. Raheed was very polite with helping me figure out what was wrong with my car. I will be sure to bring my vehicle back and recommend people to this place.

I called to get a price on tires for my 2008 Camry and was put on hold during my conversation three times before the associate took my information and was put on hold again until he returned several minutes later. He quoted $574.00 total package for the General Altimax RT43 V-rated tires. When I told him I had a quote for the same tire at Tire Etc for $397.00 complete package and asked if he could match that, he immediately put me on hold and never returned. I waited over 10 minutes before I hung up. I wasted 25 minutes of my life on the phone with this jerk that I'll never get back. I shopped at this store for probably over 30 years for all my automotive needs for all my vehicles and never have been treated like this. Maybe its just one bad actor but he really annoyed me.
