I had an appointment that they couldn’t keep because they were “overbooked” and they blamed that on customers who had made an appointment online.  Instead of driving all the way back home, I agreed to wait what they said would be an hour.  It was a little more than two hours before I was told my car was ready.  Seems like a long time to wait for a simple oil change.  Then a week later,my car started saying I was at 3% oil. I just had the oil change so I called them. They said they forgot to reset the sensor. They did offer to fix it if I come in, but I don’t think I want to wait another two hours for their mistake.  Also, no apologies were offered in either situation.

Awesome customer service!!  I didn’t have an appointment but they worked me right in for an oil change and tire rotation!   Thank you Michael Mitchell (front desk), Jake Ekiss (mechanic) and David (manager) for making my first experience with Pep Boys a great one!  Oh and the price was awesome as well!  Thanks again guys, Dawn

I went into Pep boys to buy some headlights and brake lights, and the staff was cordial and helpful. I had an issue with one of the lights, and came back to see what could be done. Turns out Pep boys will gladly exchange a defective product. I was helped by David Jackson, a senior manager who was transparent about the policies, prompt to deal with my concerns, and obviously geared toward customer satisfaction. He handled my situation with the utmost professionalism and definitely retained a customer.

Got a flat on Sunday night. Car is fairly new so I was trying to find only one tire to purchase. Searched for nearly an hour before seeing Pep Boys had my tire in stock. Called first thing Monday morning and Michael M. answered. He confirmed that they had my tire and in I went. As soon as I got to the store I met Michael and he helped me through the entire process. Confirmed services and prices before having the shop perform the labor and I really appreciated that. He just made the entire process easy when I was a little frustrated over the flat. I will definitely be back to this location! Thank you!!

Service work is fine. Make sure You ASK about any lower priced options when they call you. They will not volunteer any cost saving options. And least they didn't with us.  UPDATED:  After my initial post, PB's social media watchers contacted me for more information, and referred the case back to the service manager at this location.  The service manager called in the time frame I was told to expect, and we had a grown-up and pleasant conversation.  He generously offered to refund the full cost of the low level service and the high level service.  Since we bore some responsibility, I suggested that we agree to one-half the difference.  We all agreed, and we are all-square as far as I am concerned.  This was previously a 2-star review, changed to 4-star.
