I have been a customer of Peterson Shoes for 30+ years. They are a flat out excellent business! The quality of their products and service and the staff's knowledge has never waivered. Doing business with them is a pleasure.
Peterson's is my #1 place to get the best shoes and the best service for nearly 20 years. Working in the same neighborhood is great to keep the Anoka businesses alive but I'm running out of room to store my shoes.
I recently developed plantar fasciitis in one of my feet. I work retail, so I'm on my feet all day, and just thought I would have to get used to the pain. After months of pain I decided I needed to invest in some great shoes. Amy helped me, and I was so surprised at her knowledge of plantar fasciitis. I was only concerned with shoes for work, but she explained I needed good support for my feet at home as well. I honestly can't believe what a difference these shoes have made in my day to day life. I can be cheap at times and don't like spending much money on shoes, but this was literally spending money for a better quality of life! I have already gone back for my third pair of shoes from Amy, and would HIGHLY recommend Peterson shoes and Amy to anyone who has plantar fasciitis, or pain. You get what you pay for, and they are totally worth it!!!!! Plus your supporting a locally owned business which always feels good!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!
I do outside sales and walk a lot. I bought a pair of shoes there 4 years ago that I have completely worn out. They didn’t fall apart, I just wore the sole out. Going there today to buy another pair. I think I paid a $140-180 for the shoes I’ll be replacing today. With shoes, you get what you pay for.
Petersons Shoes in Anoka is the first shoe store I went to at age 4 when my family moved to Anoka. I had AAA width feet but Petersons always had shoes I could wear. I shopped there for many years but moved out of Anoka and hadn't been back for some time. Recently, an old friend I grew up with was in town and said we had to go to Petersons from Minneapolis as she always shops there when in the area and loves the shoes and PURSES!. She is now in Missouri. It's still a truly great store. 63 years after I first went there, I again go to Petersons when I need really great shoes. They carry the best top brands at competitive prices. The service is still great.
I had heard many good things about Peterson Shoes, i happened to get a sales person that didnt seem to have the experience of fitting shoes. First she did not measure my foot she asked what size i take, i felt after trying 3 pr of shoes she wanted to give up and push me out of there.I bought 2 pr of shoes the one pr i feel i was pushed to buy them to get me out of there, the store was busy i understand but when you go there to buy shoes to be special fit i was not impressed.I did take the one pr back and the person that waited on me was very nice. i wont buy my shoes there again.
Every pair of shoes I have purchased at Peterson Shoes are my absolute favorite. Knowledgeable staff makes for a perfect fit every time.
My husband had a pair of much loved and very comfortable leather dress boots, whose sole was worn smooth. Bill, the in-house Cobbler re-soled them, replace the heel, and gave them a beautiful polish! I highly recommend Bill for any of your shoe or leather repair!
If you're looking for a shoe store with a knowledgeable staff that really cares about their customers, then you have to make a stop into Peterson Shoes. They really take the time to listen to your needs and work to find the shoes with that perfect fit. I've found they carry quality brands, so I know I'm going to leave with something good. Super convenient that they have a shoe repair right in the back, too. If you only care about getting any ol' shoe for as cheap as possible, this place probably isn't for you. However, if you care about quality, excellent customer service, and getting shoes that will fit great and look even better, then Peterson Shoes will be your new favorite shoe store.
Store staff is always extremely helpful. Michelle helped me during one of the recent sales days. Though the store was busy she did not make me feel rushed and provided great service.
