One of my favorite places in Arkansas to visit! Never a dull moment and always a new hike. Great for every season. Variety of trails for every level of difficulty. Drive up to see bluffs, or go out and hike them. A lovely restaurant and hotel as well!

Beautiful area, a must see in Arkansas. There are so many trails to go on and beautiful sites to be seen. Visit the turtle hump rocks and go down to see the house of rock cave that still has cave drawings inside. There's also a small waterfall that you can hike down a d visit as well. Lots of places to visit on this mountain.

There are many things to do here but I would say the most prominent thing would be hiking. There are some really beautiful and peaceful spots to hike to. The waterfall was amazing and we even visited a cave that had Indian markings. The trails range in length from a mile to 10 miles so I suggest bringing lots of water and snacks. Also bring a swimsuit and water shoes ( some areas have a creek or two that you can wade in.) I'd say this is a good vacation spot for families that have children 10 or older. Any children younger than that may not be able to handle the weather or tired feet.

This park is an Arkansas staple! Petit Jean State Park has a very cozy welcome center, cabins and many trails of varying difficulty, none of them being too difficult. If you’re visiting for the first time, I would highly recommend going on the Cedar Falls Trail. It is around 2 miles, round trip, and will take you to the more iconic parts of the park, and ends at the cedar falls, a beautiful waterfall, set in a canyon. Make sure to visit after a good rain to get a good, steady waterfall! I highly recommend this park!
