The smell is so over powering. That's the first thing you notice walking in. The second thing to greet you is the dead ick infested molding fish. Turn your head there is unsecured and unprotected birds that look sickly and feather dusting. All the dogs have gooey eyes, look sickly and are too weak to play or even pay attention. Let alone look for attention. None of the staff was doing anything.. beyond saddening, disgusting and maddening. Will be constantly reporting them until all those poor defenseless animals are rescued.

Well I've been to this Petland in the past and while it wasn't a great experience today really left me particularly frustrated enough to leave this review. We all know the dogs are not properly taken care of, they are backyard breeder dogs.. I feel that the employees cannot help that fact.. however they can help how comfortable these poor animals are inside their cages by giving them the little mats, enough water and food. Today 10/30/17 there were hardly any mats inside the cages, the dogs were left on the hard uncomfortable cage, with no food and hardly any water. A dog is not the reason I visited today however, I visited for guinea pigs.. I've been looking for a baby guinea pig for awhile now, I've looked all over an thought i'd stop into Petland an see if they even had pigs. They do, they had 2 adult pigs, 1 male, 1 female and 2 baby pigs, 1 male for sure and I didn't even ask the sex of the second baby because I knew if it was female she was pregnant already. Guinea pigs start mating at 3 weeks, the mother pig can become pregnant right after giving birth. Male and female pigs SHOULD NOT be kept in the same cage. PERIOD. Someone is going to go there and purchase a female guinea pig that is for sure pregnant and more than likely not know how to care for those babies and its heartbreaking. Also the pigs had NO hay, hay is 80% of their diet, they also had a rabbit housed with them which is crazy, rabbits don't eat the same food as pigs, they need hay just as well and the pigs cant hurt the rabbit.. and vise versa. So I did not purchase a pig today, I refused to even purchase a toy for my pigs at home because I am not going to give money to an ANIMAL establishment that cannot even supply basic needs to the animals they are CARING for. I will never set foot in a Petland again.

They should close all of the petland's  ! They sell sick dogs and don't care about them

People here are very friendly and take good care of all the animals. I see there grooming expecially their dogs fur and I will be purchasing a ferrit from them at a great price, I wish they had cleaned the ferrits restroom area better
