Chico's store is one of the worst run PetSmart I have ever been to - employees just don't seem to care. Getting anything resolved involves consultations between multiple managers, with lack of initiative, critical thinking, and customer care thrown into the mix.

The selection is pretty typical but the prices seem to be at the higher end. Fish tanks are relatively clean, water stains and some dead fish aside.  Other critters do seem to get proper care. Decent selection of dog and cat food but you can get better prices at local Costco, Target, and such.

People at the Grooming Salon are nicer and do seem to care, even though our elder dog did get injured there. At least they showed some human emotions and did their best to help out.

They do have a cat adoption from Chico Animal Shelter, from kittens to adults, with occupant well cared for.

My summary: Unless you really, really need something right now, there are better pet store options in town.

Went here for be a photo with Santa with my dog. Cool it was free, but the person dressed as Santa just sat there and said I'm just a prop. The other dogs that were in the store seemed very aggressive towards my large dog that is very docile and freaked her out and she was very uncomfortable in the store. We normally go to another chain pet store in town, but Santa wasn't there on the day we drove to this town for the photo.
This was the first time we visited this PetSmart or any PetSmart and I do not see us returning.

The customer service at PetSmart was pretty awesome when I was there. It's a very large store so having help to locate what youre after is key. They had several options to choose from of the product I needed, unfortunately I still managed to pick one that didnt do the job.

Very scary place to leave a dog out. They were pretty good three years ago but something changed and there are way more animals. It's a madhouse. Takes to long, doesn't feel safe to me or my dog and the work is ok. Pricing went up too.  We use a smaller, quieter groomer now who is skilled and pretty quick.

I took my small dog in this morning for a nail trim and file. It seemed busy but they were able to squeeze us in. It was quick. The gal handed me my dog and as I got to my car, I looked down and saw blood dripping onto the ground and my pants. She had clipped a nail all the way to the quick. I do know accidents happen, but she said NOTHING. I walked back with my injured and bleeding dog to get some help. She never said she was sorry! One of the other staff members was just as upset as I, but not the gal that did the damage. I won’t be going back. As I said, accidents happen but not letting the customer know what happened is wrong.
