This is one of our favorite parks in the area. Wonderful playground with only one entrance/exit so it's easier to keep track of toddlers. Beautiful walking/running path that meanders around the park and near the historic marker. Shaded areas for a picnic.

My review is specifically for the playground aspect of the park. I haven't explored the whole park. The playground is great! It's large with room for kids to run, and it is enclosed to make watching your little ones much easier. The selection of toys to play on is nice and everything seems to be maintained well. There are restrooms close by, and a picnic shelter with tables. I subtract one star only because the playground has a big sand box. I am not a big fan of sandboxes on playgrounds because it attracts all the toddlers, and all they do is throw it at each other and cause problems with it.

Great wooden playground with only one exit so the kids are contained. Also good short hikes and walking paths.

Great little park... Very busy. Nice 1 mile path that goes past a trail to Ft. Grainger. Kind of rough around the edges... Not landscaped like other parks.

Our favorite local park. My toddler and my teen love the play areas, I love the paved walking trail. Nice open green space for picnics, frisbee, catch, kite flying... They've recently added hammock stands and swings. Bathrooms are usually pretty gross, but that's not unusual in a public park.
