To develop Bowie Nature Park so that it furthers Dr. Evangeline Bowie’s wishes by providing for the recognition of natural areas having outstanding scenic, biological, and geological value; to provide for areas of environmentally sound and non-impactive recreational opportunities and a classification of such areas to provide for the preservation of such assets. The City of Fairview - Vision Statement for Bowie Nature Park The City of Fairview envisions Bowie Nature Park as an example of one of the finest “Nature Parks” in the state of Tennessee. By showcasing its unique natural beauty and cultural heritage, the park will offer to both present and future generations a place where people can experience nature in a relatively undisturbed setting allowing a source of inspiration and renewal. By developing this natural area it can teach future generations to respect and to care for the land and natural resources so that it serves as a shining example for other communities.
