After being told by a few other repair shops that “My sewing machine was too old to find parts for and that it cannot be repaired “ I went to ‘Placentia Sew-Vac ‘ and the gentleman was good enough to say he would try to fix it and he called back in 2 days saying it was fixed and that he was able to find original parts to fix it. Although Happy but unsure about how well it would work, I went to pick it up and now 2 months later I’ve had absolutely no Issues with it ! The person that did the repair was very polite and helpful.

I unfortunately did not have a good experience at this place. I went in twice for the same type of repair and now my sewing machine is not working again for the 3rd time with the same problem. The gentleman that I gave my sewing machine 2 be fixed said "I was using the wrong singer bobbin size for my singer sewing machine and that is why it broke" the first time. Then the 2 nd time the machine broke down with the same exact problem happened, he said"I shouldn't be using the all purpose thread only All cotton thread" ...I only do alterations for myself and have always used all purpose thread without any problems in the past 20 years of being a seamstress, and have only used singer sewing machines...but., I listened to him bought the cotton thread and after using it the 3rd time, it jammed up again. I will now by trying another sewing repair business. Mabey it is an odd problem that just keeps happening to this machine. We'll find out.Please do your research when searching out a repair shop.

Good guy, nice and gentle. He fixed my 8 year old vacuum cleaner in 2 days...I would have spent another $300 at Walmart or Target but for $60 I got it reconditioned and it is working great. I would go back when my mom's sewing machine breaks down.

*Continue from last review that accidentally got posted* Finally, he offered to lower the price from 80 to 70 to eventually 50. By then, I was fed up with his manipulative behavior and suspicious of how low he was willing to charge from the original price that I refused anything he offered. When I tried to pick up the machine the next day, it was completely DISMANTLED and had to wait a few more days before I could retrieve it in one piece. I got home and realized that it was in worse shape than before and the needle couldn't even be lowered enough to catch the bobbin thread. Don't be fooled by what they tell you. I'm sure they give the same line to everyone, telling you what a valuable and rare machine you have and how worth it is to have them fix it. (mine was the cheap kind from wal-mart) They want your business but more than that, they are trying to take advantage of you and cheat you of your money. Don't go there.
