I used to LOVE this gym. I had a black card, brought friends, ecouraged them to join, used the hydro beds, attended classes, worked out 5 times a week for almost a year. Equipment was brand new and clean. Once their staff changed (management included), it went downhill for me. I will just copy and paste the email I sent their district manager Jonathan Vargo, with no response. My name is Amanda Parks. I'm reaching out to you because there was an incident at the St Louis, MO, Overland location between me and one of your employees. This incident happened months ago. I was harassed and teased by a trainer and I haven't been back since. I used to frequent the gym 5 days a week for almost a year. If you look into my records you'll see the last day I attended, which is also when the incident took place. I told the manager at the time to cancel my membership. He agreed. I still have an outstanding bill that your customer service has refused to handle. I spoke with your new manager, Trevor, which is how I got your email. He informed me there was a form i didn't fill out. I'm not sure why I want offered this form. Or why the staff didn't call to follow up with the incident or cancellation information. I since then joined another gym I attended frequently. I can't believe a judge free zone would have staff that harasses it's clients then demand for me to pay fees after that incident happened. Please contact me at my cell phone number, 314*******, with a resolution. Thank you. Am I ignorant for this? Cause that's what their new manager Precious told me after she refused to help me.. right before she hung up on me today. Staff definitely makes or breaks a business. I suggest they further look into the type of people they employ.

This is a nice facility for any level of fitness. The friendly staff keep the machines clean. Justin and Miranda are very friendly and courteous. The free weight area is very organized. Although there are no free bars, you can modify the compound movements with dumbbells. You should not have problems finding a cardio machine since there are plenty to use. The same applies to the resistance machines. It is usually not very crowded, so you would not have to wait for machines. They have battle ropes if you want a quick cardio workout. For $10/month (I recommend the basic membership), it is not a bad deal.

I came from another gym and had low expectations when joining Planet Fitness. Jonathan and his crew have done an amazing job welcoming me and I'm enjoying the experience. Love the classes and trainers and don't feel like I'm being nickel and dimed as I did with my previous membership. I also love seeing music videos on the screens. Excellent value and incredible staff.

I experienced the worst customer service in my whole life. Not only was I insulted and humiliated in front of the entire gym by the manager on duty named Precious, but she threatened me with the words: “Get the f*** out of here because if you don’t I will take you out myself and f*** you up”. Upon my arrival I handed my black key card, which was scanned. Then I was asked to sign in, which I never had to do before. Five minutes into my workout a staff member approached my treadmill in a friendly manner and asked me to remove my belongings of the floor as it is considered liability. I had my small gym tote bag and my jacket with me. I moved my belongings to my car, as this gym is not in the safest area in town and lockers have been broken in before. I have even seen notes posted on the walls warning about the safety of locker use and how the gym is not responsible about anyone’s belongings. On my way back I asked one of the girls on staff who is the manager on duty so I could speak to him/her after my workout. She pointed out to a young female named Precision. I resumed my workout and few minutes later Precious took it upon herself to come speak to me. She however did not approach me in a friendly manner unlike the gym crew member. I told her I would like to work out first and then speak to her. Precious was confrontational and showed an attitude of aggression and told me to speak to her now. We had a brief talk and she said it’s a new year policy they are trying to enforce and that if I am not happy with the location, I should leave and cancel my membership. As she was stepping away, I asked her another question regarding the rules because I needed her to clarify to why these are the rules. Precious walked back over to me and said that it’s just the corporate rules and they need to be enforced, without giving me any explanation to why they are there in the first place. She said that she is not forcing me to be a member and walked away. I then resumed my workout and not even five minutes later she came back, interrupt me again and told me to leave immediately since I am unhappy with the location. I said I would like to finish my work out, however Precious said that I have no choice but to leave immediately because I am being disruptive. I asked how I was being disruptive and she had no answer to me, but told me again to leave immediately. I then asked her for her full name and I was trying to look at her name tag to confirm the spelling of her name and possibly locate a last name. She was hiding it from me, turning the other way so I won’t see it. Precious was saying to leave her alone and not touch her and which I never did. I told her I will contact a higher up, at which she lost at me, started screaming, cursing me out and threatening to take me outside herself and f*** me up. This whole scene happened in front of many other gym members and is unacceptable managerial behavior. Precious was clearly the one being disruptive! The kind of behavior and attitude she portrayed does not match the culture and customer service goals Planet Fitness claims to abide by. Her behavior was unacceptable and at least not one that a manager should have not only in front of me but in front of the whole gym as well. Where is the positive environment and judgment free zone in all of that?! It is beyond pathetic and controversial that for an entity that claims no judgment zone, I had to experience exactly the opposite. I am beyond disappointed. I was kicked out and not allowed to even write down her name on a piece of paper or get the franchise’s owner name. After the accident, one of my witnesses called the gym three times in order to get the correct email address for Jonathan who is the regional manager of this PF location. Every time she was given different e-mail address. After we acquired the correct one, we both e-mailed him and we are waiting to hear from him. I also called in this morning and spoke to two employees and they both would not give me Precious’s last name and said no manager is on duty. What a customer service!!!

I am on holidays in the area for a week. I normally workout at a Planet Fitness in Bowmanville Ontario. I wanted to get a few workouts while I was down here. I found the one in Overland. Great place and staff was very friendly. Might squeeze in a couple more workouts before I head home. Keep up the great work
