This restaurant is very disorganized and poorly run. I was only there once and don't plan to return. We were a party of 3. I asked for a margarita with lime juice instead of sour mix and was charged $11 for a top shelf drink. The salsa was bland and I asked for hot sauce which we never got. Not even sure the person who brought the salsa understood the English words 'hot sauce'. I can't speak to the food because our server never returned to take our food order. The hostess was nice and tried to get our server to help us. After at least 30 minutes we finally flagged down the server for the check and I was furious to get charged $11 for the drink. We are locals and don't patronize rip off tourist traps, which is what this place appears to be.

Went here for dinner 2-27-18. The hostess greeted us immediately with a friendly smile and seated us right away. The decor was wonderful. The 'chip person' brought chips and salsa as soon as we sat down. Our waiter greeted us and took our drink order. We ordered our food then enjoyed our margaritas. The food was awesome and plenty of it. Definitely will return

Tacos were excellent. The shrimp and chorizo were extra special. Table side guacamole was well done. Best Margaritas we've found in months. Food has been consistently good every visit.

Made our first visit to Plaza Mexico and were very happy with our meal. Margaritas were great and we were glad to see that they had black beans which many of the Mexican restaurants in the area do not offer. Portions were generous, flavors were very fresh and the guacamole was delicious. They have a very extensive menu with lots of choices. We will definitely go back, especially since we've had a hard time finding a good Mexican restaurant in Sarasota.

Really really expensive but good food I love the walk amole fresh make it in your table I love it my other way love them michelada
