Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre is a Bay Area Rapid Transit station serving the Contra Costa Centre Transit Village in Contra Costa Centre, California, just north of Walnut Creek and just east of Pleasant Hill.Station layoutThe station consists of two elevated side platforms.Service at this station began on May 21, 1973.This station is in BART District 1 and is represented by Gail Murray.A new parking garage opened at the station with 1,547 spaces on June 30, 2008. The former station parking lot was converted into the Contra Costa Centre transit village. An improved access path to the station better connecting it with the Iron Horse Regional Trail was proposed before the Walnut Creek city council on July 15, 2008. The proposal gained support from BART and the local cycling organization. A bridge over Treat Boulevard carrying the Iron Horse Regional Trail was completed on October 2, 2010. The bridge cost $12 million.Despite opposition from the Pleasant Hill City Council, on October 11, 2010, the BART Board of Directors approved the station name change from "Pleasant Hill" to "Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre" because of the station's proximity to the transit village. The Contra Costa County Redevelopment Agency and AvalonBay Communities will cover the cost of changing the station signage as part of a planned $3 million upgrade.

Great courtyard. Sit down, have a cup of coffee. Bring a picnic lunch, read a book. People watch and enjoy the sunshine.

My commuting station. Clean, organized, and crowded. Parking free only at weekends or holidays. A lot bike parking lots can be found as well. With transit village you can eat or buy coffee nearby. Pretty convenient!

Yes, this is a 5 star BART station. Every time I've gone, the bathrooms have been clean. There is greenery across the street, which makes one want to hang out. There are food truck days to taste different cuisine. The bus depot is self contained and easy to navigate through (the signage is clear). There is a store on bottom of the platform - you can buy pizza, quench your thirst, or enjoy a light snack. This station is centrally located. If you're ambitious you can even walk downtown. There are trails and other parks nearby. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The only con - congested. This station's parking garage fills up rather quickly. This station was recently retrofitted, so there is ample lighting, etc..
