The place is fantastic, I'm not sure what other reviews were talking about with smelly pillows but our room smelled fresh bedding was like brand new same with towels. 

If you're looking for a clean and great place to stay close to local shopping dining and within 30 seconds away from the beach this is a place to go to.

I need to make it clear that I am a grumpy dude so take this with a grain of salt. I went here only because its where my wife booked us. The area is A plus. The rooms solid B minus.  Staff were like anyplace... some great some less so. Over all its a bit trendy for my taste but i was agreeably suprized. $30.00 per night resort fee so use the umbrellas and chairs!
We will be going again because my wife really liked it.

I found them to be petty... As they call themselves pet friendly... and charge for an emotional support animal.
Being charged for that would be like charging people with wheel chairs for a ramps.
A disability is a disability.... and at the Plunge they charge disabled guest for being disabled. 

Being disabled is not a choice.

To charge for a disability, is a choice. Pretty petty if you ask me.

Vacationing from Colorado for a long weekend, I was looking forward to relaxing on the beach for a full day just listening to the surf and watching the light on the water.  This is not to be at Plunge Hotel where they carry only a limited number of umbrellas and beach chairs so that it is "first come, first serve" as to which of their guests can enjoy this "amenity" that their hotel offers.  At $300+ per night, I was astonished that the manager told me "Well, people break them and steal them so we don't have enough".  Excuse me?  You should carry an OVER supply to make sure that none of your guests are left to "pound sand".
We also found the "free bikes" to be in rickety condition and the staff to be dismissive.  Food / beverage options are limited.  
My next vacation to Florida will be with a well managed hotel.

The workers here seem really shady and confused with even how they’re supposed to do their job. We payed to get into one of the beach buildings but we got randomly upgraded to the bungalow. The bungalow is fine even though we didn’t want it in the first place. In our room there’s no balcony and you can’t open the window to here the ocean. Room looks like a dorm room. Good thing about the bungalow room is the bed is really comfy and you get you’re own pool that the people in the other buildings aren’t allowed into. The hotel is an annoyingly far away walk from stores and restaurants. It’s nice to go on the beach but having to sign in and out if you want towels or a lounge chair is annoying. Would be a really nice place if the workers didn’t seem like they were tying to scam you.
