I came here for a farewell lunch for my former boss. I've never had Peruvian food but I'm now a fan. The dessert is out of this world. I love tres leches and this dessert was perfect. The food was so tasty and not salty at all which was my concern. Everything was cooked to perfection. I will definitely be coming back here.
The food in this place is amazing and you can definitely taste it. It was made with love. This is also top notch as well and your food will come quickly. I can't wait to return to this place and enjoy the ambiance once again.Food: 4/5
Most of our business meetings take place at Pollo D’Oro. Their menu provides an array of tasty delights that range from their tasty chicken and amazing Peruvian green sauce to their ceviche, octopus dishes and salads. Vegetarians would love this place as they have dishes for everyone. We have held events here too and enjoyed some of their amazing bands!!
This place was just a disappointment. The food looked pretty but had absolutely no flavor whatsoever, it was under seasoned, bland, the opposite of what one would expect from a Peruvian restaurant. Even the yucca fries lacked any sort of depth. Also, there was something wrong with the beef in my dish, it was tough and smelled/tasted old. The service was meh, the drinks nothing too exciting, no real redeeming quality. Def not going back.
I love this place! Truly fantastic staff and delicious, authentic food. The Pisco Sour was great but very small. The food came in pretty big portions. The empanadas were just perfect and I would order these anytime I'm nearby again. The lomo saltado and tallarines saltado were both really good, but the lomo was definitely better. The tres leches cake was incredible and very rich.
Atmosphere is chill and the place is quaint but I don't know if the chef is working remotely like half of everyone these days but my main dish was definitely missing something... however the anticucho was on point. Best advice come for appetizer and some mixed drinks and have a good time.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
This place is definitely delicious with classic Peruvian options, just really expensive even for New York City, otherwise it’d be 5 stars. There are maybe 1 or 2 entree options under $35, which is intense! That being said, enjoyed the atmosphere and the food.
Muy fantástico!! Drinks, ordered the mojitos, nice and strong! I felt like I got a great deal Appetizer, order the beef empanadas. Wow, what a great flavor. The beef was tender and had very good flavor. The sauce on the plate was very tasty, had a great balance Main course, I had the Lomo Saltado, the beef was tender. I really enjoyed the stewed tomatoes, they gave a nice texture balance to the dish. The sauce at the bottom was savory and was a great addition to mix with the rice. There was a green salsa on the side that offered some additional flavors as needed. I didn’t think the fries were necessary, but the dish was very well balanced Overall the service was wonderful, staff was very attentive and I never need to ask for a drink refill 5/5
My friend and I came here last night and it was worth all of the calories we took in. From start to finish, you honestly couldn't go wrong. The Salmon D'Oro was delicious and the 3 chocolate mousse was divineeeeeee!! Will definitely be back...after I lose the weight I gained from eating here haha!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Great meal for two. Had the traditional ceviche, lamb shank and yuca frites on the side. Service very good. Ceviche a little chewy and prices a little high. Also restaurant is a bit run down - booth covering is flaking and staff backpacks etc in view... Still, come for the food, not the vibe!
