Story

The Porter Automotive Group is a fourth generation, family owned business that has been servicing the local community since 1925. The most important thing that we stress to our people is ethics. Our industry has been somewhat stereotyped over the years because some dealerships chose to take advantage of customers and had little regard for customer satisfaction. We believe that the key to being successful in our business is building long-term relationships with our customers.

This is achieved by providing the customers with a fair price, a job done right the first time and most importantly, treat customers with the courtesy and respect they deserve. It is imperative for us to conduct business with the highest standards and ethics. We truly believe that this is why greater than 40% of our business is generated from previous customers.

I have dealt with this dealership on 3 separate occasions. This time they have officially struck out with their customer service. John, the service consultant there was very argumentative and doubled the price of the diagnostics I was originally quoted on. In general, the staff there will treat you as if you do not know anything, as if you do not have a choice to find better service somewhere else, as if you are a lesser person than them. Overall, customer service is horrible, they seem to try to find every reason possible to nickle and dime the customer with outlandish diagnostic fees and over-priced repairs. Also, they like to add that it is the only way they can guarantee their work. What happened to doing quality work in the first place that was guaranteed without having to pay a premium for the guarantee?? Does anyone else see something wrong with that model? I gave them the benefit of the doubt after the first encounter with them and used them a second time which resulted in another bad experience. I only went back this 3rd time because I felt I had no other option but to go to the dealer for this issue. This is where they immediately try to take advantage of people. I will be on the phone as long as it takes today to find a competent mechanic and auto repair business that believes in good customer service and will take care of my issue. Conclusion, as a consumer, you have choices, the Ford dealership is not the only option, and their service is horrible, has been that way for awhile and don't show any signs of improving... so, put them in the same category with Comcast customer service, pitiful.

Great experience, the sales manager was very helpful and spent a lot of time with us, got a great deal on a preowned car and feel like we were taken good care of. Will only buy from Porter Ford from now on!
