This has always been a good place for a good meal. The prices are a little higher then you outback or Texas road house. The food taste much better then those. The old building just gives you a good feeling. The server was a little slow, but we got our food and enjoyed the day. The T-bone steak we could cut with just a fork. The buffalo burger was awesome. It is definitely a place I have always and will always recommend. The bathrooms are not the cleanest, but the building is old and there haven’t been any updates keeping the old feeling.

Knowing the history of Porter Rockwell gives you the desire to visit a place that resembles the rustic old west. The food is hearty and prices are great. The atmosphere is filled with memorabilia of the 1850 's that make you appreciate your blessings.  It's been said that this place feels haunted,  I don't know,  but when I looked at my pictures later that night, I was in great wonder of how that particular photo got among my other photos.  It was the siloute of a person's profile,  with smoke coming from its nostrils.  The rich color of the red chandeliers made the image very striking. So if it's haunted,  then it's in a good way, for I felt nothing but joy while dining there.

It is well worth the experience to go here.  It is an old saloon style restaurant, that actually feels as old as it is supposed to. The bar was built in the 1800s. The food is pretty good, and they have lots of unique (non-alcoholic) drink options.

Food tasted good yet was barely warm at best. Would have been very good if food was hot. The worst part was we saw the food was ready. We also saw three servers right next to it. None of them brought it to our table. They were too busy talking and they waited for our server to bring it. The delay was several minutes.  This is the second time in a row for this result . . . good taste, yet not warm enough.

Excellent food in a very historic location.  Plenty of food on your plate.  Really tasty bbq beans with your order.  Main course does come unseasoned, so prepare to put salt and pepper on it.  My wife ordered pork chops and got two huge chops.  I other words,  GO HUNGRY!
