I really liked this gym when I first started.  Though week after week I see them try and improve the gym but then they take three steps back. Currently there are multiple machines not functioning or they are functioning poorly. For the machines that are working: they are missing pieces, are unbalanced, and the pads or seats are falling apart. The equipment is out dated and inadequately maintained. The locker rooms are almost always dirty, the interior of lockers themselves are dirty and there are towels all over almost every time I have been there. For that matter there are towels all over the gym this also says something about the clientele, that isn't just on the gym.
It is a good thing power house gym puts people in long contracts because I would have left a while ago. One thing I love that this gym is open 24 hrs now.  The gym has a lot of patrons and is usually pretty busy which makes finding a machine you want to use that functions a little more challenging.  You would think with this many people going to the gym some of that money would be put back into it.  Another positive is the  receptionists at the gym are very nice and there are a few trainers that really seem passionate about their  job.

I've been going here for almost 4 years now and the rules/guidelines/upkeep of the gym have been going downhill within the last year. I understand that it is more of an intense lifting gym, but the lack of action to maintan equipment (and keeping members from destroying equipment) on behalf of the gym management is shameful. Guys yelling during every rep and literally throwing dumbbells down is a recurring theme, as are broken cables and machines.
Don't get me wrong, I enjoy coming here, as I have a lot of friends who do as well, but it is getting to the point that the atmosphere and lack of respect for others and the gym is becoming a problem.

Would give 0 stars if it was an option. Words cannot express how rude the staff was. Came in yesterday with my mom as potential customers and we were greeted with straight up hostility and plenty of man-splaining from the manager. I 100% will never attend any power house again. Like it literally seemed like a sitcom displaying all the reasons people don't go to the gym. I can't believe how rude and judgmental the staff was to my mother and I. Like what is wrong with this place and the attitude of their employees? If you're considering trying this PH location out, do yourself a favor and find a different gym. I see the owner replying to a lot of these reviews, but he/she clearly does not actually care. We were only in the entrance, but even there I could tell the gym was super dirty and unorganized in general. For now, I'm going to stick to yoga...I really wish I had a single good thing to say about this place.

I've been A Fitness Professional at PHG since 2014.  The owner Mike, and, my Boss, Josh are outstanding individuals to work for.  I am grateful to be part of such a Professional Team and Fitness Family.
