I never write reviews and feel compelled to write one for Prime Subaru of Manchester after buying a 2018 Forester from them. I negotiated everything with them via email and phone as I live in NY state and found them to be responsive, easy to work with, and helpful. I looked at multiple dealers and Prime Subaru offered me a better deal than any other place. I was a little nervous about traveling from out of state and buying a car after setting everything up online, but Prime Subaru (I worked with Charlie Foster there) honored everything that we had agreed upon and had my paperwork ready. I am most definitely recommending Prime Subaru to my friends and family.

This place has gone WAY, WAY DOWNHILL since Prime purchased the dealership. These guys will literally not return calls or write back emails. I tried to get a price on a car twice  in January and December. The car was already priced online and I just wanted to find out the total with fees. Twice I was never called/emailed back. This place used to be great, but now kind of sucks. Ed Reilly Subaru was more than happy to help.

I would highly recommend not doing your business here. After driving 2 hours to get my "free" state inspection, I was told my brakes were "metal on metal" and that the rear would be over $400 and the front over $300. At first I said sure go ahead, then after thinking about it I called back and said don't bother as it didn't seem my brakes needed to be replaced. They seemed to be functioning correctly and they were not making any noise. They refused to inspect my car, go figure!!!!! After my two hour drive home I pulled into my garage and removed my tires to examine the brakes. The rear brakes, according to subaru were metal on metal.....they were FAR from metal on metal......the front brakes had at least 50% left.  Don't waste your time here just to be taken advantage of....

Friendly staff, great service delivered in less time than expected. Excellent pricing. If you know what you want they will beat the competition if you ask them to.

I'll start with the good part. When I first showed up, I met a really nice sales guy. He is the only reason I gave this dealer 2 stars instead of just 1. He was extremely personable and took me out for the test drive. Then the classic back and forth with the finance side kicked in. 

I went to Manchester Subaru with a guaranteed trade offer from Subaru. The dealership refused to honor the trade and offered $1500 below! Then, they tried to rip me off on the lease special that they had posted online. 

Lastly, the finance manager lied to me and when I caught him in the lie, he resorted to insulting me and telling me that I don't understand math... I work in finance! 

He "rebated" $3,500... which if you know Subaru... rebate is not a word that is in their vocab unless you have a loyal customer rebate. He then added it back in to the fine print and increased the money factor on the lease to recollect it. 

After a back and forth with him and me standing up, telling the store about his horrendous behavior, I drove straight to Milford Subaru who gave me exactly what I wanted on the exact car (their car actually had a $200 higher MSRP too), and honored the guaranteed trade from Subaru. I should had read the reviews first and gone straight to Milford Subaru. There was no negotiating, not hassle, and it was quick and I left with my new car and a check in the mail from my equity of my old car.
