Stopped here for lunch with my family and we all enjoyed the food so much we came back the next day for more. The food is fantastic and the wait time is very reasonable for how great the food is. We’ll definitely be returning again! PS. Sitting near the Chappy ferry on the dock with your food is the way to go if it’s not too busy.
This is the BEST lobster roll I have ever had. Not to mention the prices were fantastic! I’ve lived in New England all my life and my favorite food is lobster. No lobster roll has beat this one. It was packed with lobster to the point where there was a handful more of lobster when I finished the roll. APPLAUSE TO YOU QUARTERDECK.
Recently, on my first trip to Martha’s Vineyard, I wandered through the streets of Edgartown one soft summer night hoping to find a walk-up cafe where I could just order a classic New England clam chowder and fish sandwich. Following my nose, I came upon the Quarterdeck counter on Dock St. Asking a patron for the process, she urged me to approach the clerk and place my order. Best chowder, except for the cafe at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, and fish sandwich I have ever had. I even ran into a young JFK relative awaiting his order! NB: Cash only.
The fish and chips was just okay. The fish in my opinion was previously frozen not local. The lobster role was good. The clam chowder was runny and had very few clams; but the clams had sand in them. Which is saying they are fresh but not prepared 100% correctly to make the clams spit out the sand. I personally don’t mind the sand in the clam but and think it add to the authenticity but wanted to make other aware. Cash only! Which sucks as a customer but understandable as a small business owner.
Until they bring back their own tartar sauce. One star. If they bring it back 5. It's an Edgartown classic
We had cheeseburgers and they really hit the spot. At $6 a pop, they’re an excellent deal. Toppings tasted fresh LTP: lettuce tomato pickle and good flavor. I would definitely come back again. We had to pick up cash at a local ATM to eat here which was disappointing, but the food was good and we used the extra cash at a local cash-only ice cream shop.
Ate lunch there today, 8/3/20. Had the Lobster roll, should have been called small lobster bun. I’d need to eat 3 to be full, and they aren’t cheap at $18 each. My son had one as well, they were average tasting at best. My daughter had clam chowder and grilled cheese. She said it tasted like the chowder came out of a can and that the grilled cheese tasted like rubber, she didn’t finish either. My son and I also split a side of fries and they were not cold, but not warm either, certainly not hot like you’d expect. Didn’t even eat 1/4 of them. Very disappointing overall. Not sure how the high rating for this place was attained, the owner must have a lot of friends.
Lobster rolls were packed with meat and not a lot of mayonnaise. We grabbed three to go and ate them on South Beach....delicious!
For the price, the waiting for the food, the quality of the food was substandard. Not sure if it was just because it was busy or if it was just when I showed up. Also the menu board with the prices needs to be updated to accurately reflect what you pay. Not recommended.
Delicious! Lobster roll, beyond burger and chicken finger platter. All exceeded expectations. Good pricing
