This is a very unique place with a lot to offer. Looking at it you'd probably walk right past it since it just looks like a plain old house. This is on purpose because the chefs just want to make their food for a few customers a day, so to eat here you'll need a reservation. They charge a flat fee of 30 dollars and will serve 5 dishes. These 5 dishes change everyday and depend on what the chefs want to cook that day and what's fresh.

The food was delicious and we had SO much fun!  Feel free to not only tell them about food allergens but also preferences-they are very accommodating!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Charleston. I love the entire experience of R Kitchen. From the minute you walk into the tiny restaurant, it's quite fun to sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare the food.

They talk, chit chat, explain what they're cooking and answer your questions. All in all, it's a very casual feel with some world-class cooking.

We had a wonderful 5 course meal and every bite was perfection. They change the menu every time based on what's fresh and available, not to mention what they feel like cooking.

Reservations book up months in advance. So call ahead. It's a total blast and we can't recommend it highly enough!

I had one of the coolest dining experiences of my life here. It was so much fun to hang out with the two chefs and I had a great date night with my wife. We had wonderful unique food, good wine, and asked plenty of questions and met some really cool people while we were there. 5 small courses plus a bottle of wine for under $150 with tip is a great value in my book. It was like being at a dinner party and we all had a great time. Highly recommended!
