It's a okay hotel. The room needs some updating done tho. Beds are comfortable. Room smelled clean. What bugged me... there was a dog just wandering around in the lobby. I understand that there are​ people who loves dogs but people needs to understand too that there are others who are allergic to dogs. Another thing, if you need a microwave or a fridge in your room make sure to tell them that. Because not all of the rooms have those. Their breakfast was okay.

My room was upstairs and the hotel seemed clean. The furniture and bath was a little worn down. But the OUTSTANDINGLY friendly staff, really made this an amazing experience. Becky went more than above and beyond in helping me get shuttled to the hotel. She was also so hospitable, professional, great sense of urgency and extremely friendly.

The Assistant General Manager, Sage, was very helpful and kind to us during our stay in Arcata. Expedia had really dropped the ball once our flight was cancelled the previous day, resulting in my husband and I arriving at the hotel 24 hours after we were supposed to check in. Sage worked with us and Expedia to refund our money from our original reservation and create a new reservation at a reasonable rate. The Ramada Arcata was comfortable with plenty to choose from for breakfast. Thanks again to Sage for helping out some weary travelers trying to have a nice vacation.

Maid service is nonexistent. Came back after working all day two days in a row to unmade beds, no clean towels and garbage full. The place is run down and security is poor. If you want a clean room and a good nights sleep go somewhere else..

This hotel is very convenient to highway 101, and the rooms are reasonable. However, the front desk person was incredibly rude to me and the other 2 groups in my party checking in. She's not helpful and seems to make a point to make things more difficult. There are also no laundry services on site ("not for the guests!" as the front desk lady put it) like the hotel amenities would suggest. The pillows are extremely small, and the beds are not very comfortable. The pool and hot tub are between the hotel and an RV park. They are nice to take a break in. I'm not sure I would recommend staying here, unless you have no other options.
