I reached out to Tina Renshaw who emailed me regarding a property that they reduced the rent. I began to inform her my lease ends in the end of dec. She rudely cut me off and refused to discuss the property further. I kindly asked if she knew of any other properties that might be avail at the end of dec and she rudely said no. She continued to explain in a very agitated and condescending tone that she has been doing property mgmt for 10 yrs and that they work for the owners not the tenants. Little did she know I have worked in property mgmt for 3 years and you never tell a prospective tenant that. The rent tenants pay is what fills the owners pockets. I will not do business with someone who gives so much disrespect up front.

I sold my home and bought a home using RE/MAX, Jeff Ryder. He would email contracts for me to sign. No explanation, just "here sign this." I never saw any bids on the home I sold, we just talked about the first bid over the phone. When I sold my home in Reno, NV, my realtor had all the bids, called me into his office (on a Sunday) and went over everything with me. Maybe this isn't a valid complaint, maybe this is just a CO realtor way of business. We went house hunting at his convenience. When I requested to look at homes during the weekend, he didn’t even take me, he had another random RE/MAX realtor take me. I placed a bid on a home at that time. When I was to schedule the inspection for that home, his assistant suggested that if I wanted Jeff Ryder to be at the inspection with me, to schedule it for a certain Monday. I later found out that Monday she suggested was the same day the inspection objections were due. There were a few things I complained about in anger. But, those issues were not in his control. Other realtors set me straight, which I really appreciated! The problem was he never responded to my complaints, so I was angry for no valid reason. Unneeded stress. The couple who bought my home requested repairs on my 2014 townhouse, which I complied with. Also, I left window coverings and the washer and dryer. The 1960’s home I bought had a lot of cosmetic damages, 17 year old furnace and water heater. No window coverings, no washer and dryer, just some holes in the wall. The only thing Jeff Ryder got for me was the home warranty to be put in my name, which was only good for seven months. This home had a lot of cosmetic damages. In complaints to both Ryder and RE/MAX headquarters, I stated it “appeared” that Ryder was working in the best interest of the sellers and/or their realtor. No one ever refuted that statement so I found that disturbing. Again, maybe these aren't valid complaints, I don't know because no one ever took the time for conflict resolution. After the inspection, I requested another viewing of the home. At this time it was discovered the faucet in the bathroom tub was broken off. Ryder assured me things would be made right. After closing, when I moved in, I discovered the facet was reattached but with the old components from this older home, I had only one temperature, scalding hot. I contacted Ryder, but he never responded and I was left with having to do repairs myself. New components had to be changed out. After closing, he gave me the wrong utilities company to contact. Thankfully another realtor caught the error, she saved me a big hassle. Also, he didn’t even give me any information for waste pickup. This should have been the easiest part of the job. So, ANY place you do business with, you could have a 50/50% chance of having a personality conflict, that can happen anywhere. The problem with RE/MAX, you’re taking that chance and if things start getting ugly, you have a 100% chance no one is going to care. Getting your money is their number one objective. RE/MAX HQ told me to contact Joe Clement, the owner of this office for conflict resolution. I tried several times and the only response I got from him was "Quit contacting us, we get it, you're angry...." That was the extent of conflict resolution. Jeff Ryder did respond to me by email telling me to quit insulting them. He had me so stressed out that there were F-bombs used. But, I looked over my emails and I never once insulted them. I implied a few GFY’s but those weren’t insults they were proclamations.
