Do not expect to be kept up to date (on the status of your purchase) or expect for the purchase process to go smoothly. Also if you are instructed to install appliances you better have them put it in writing that they are assuming responsibility for the security of your installed appliances. I was instructed to install a fridge and stove into a home that had been foreclosed and surprise surprise the fridge was stolen on the day the deal got delayed (yet another week). The police officer inspected the scene and found no sign of forced entry which led him to believe the person(s) had gotten into the house using a key. After about an hour of arguing with the firm’s broker she said she would “talk to the lender and see what she could do”. Well its been a few weeks now and I have not received a call from her. I’m pretty sure I’m just going to have to eat the cost of a second refrigerator. Save yourself the headache and go to a professional real estate firm.
