Honestly the price you pay for a lobster compared to the amount you get really isn't worth it. Aside from that honestly nothing here really tasted that great. The lobster was dry and chewy. Everything is over buttered. The pasta was kinda mush. The appetizers weren't that bad. Service was good though.Food: 1/5
Tried again this week at another location and LA MESA did not disappoint!! When you walk up to the building the updated hours 12-8pm are posted outside. Unlike the other location..We walked inside and was greeted by the hostesses and servers. We chatted about our previous experience at their other location. As we were seated our server Erin was AMAZING! Our food came out hot and timely. I got my Cheddar Bay Biscuits Coconut Shrimp and Clam Chowder, it was PERFECT!! Erin showed me the SERVICE is the way it's supposed to be. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS!! The LA Mesa location did that!! Thank you so much for making my experience a GREAT.
I have just come to expect, that my experience, at ANY Red Lobster, is going to be average. My Trio of Salmon, Shrimp and Lobster, with broccoli and House salad was a good choice. My friend's meal of Flounder and Bay Scallops with Broccoli and "Fully Loaded" bake potato, was really lacking. Check out the picture and you be the judge. She said no onions and extra sour cream. She received plenty of onion and No sour cream. I just wish quality control would become a higher priority. It's always a gamble. I've had great meals and I've wasted money on meals. Inconsistency loses customers.
Wow a half hour wait, Only one server and she was the best Her name was Monica. The greeter wasn't the best no smiles. The food was excellent thank you chef. The place was so dusty and dirty while waiting to be seated. I grew up on Red Lobster but this was farmost the worst experience from Red Lobster. Why a 30 minute wait when only 8 people in the building?
Went on a Wenesday night. They make us wait like 20 minutes and got another party that was there after us first. Once we seat we wait about 20 min to gave them our order. Food started coming little by little. They forgot silverware. Then forgot the straws for our drinks. Then forgot my beer and then forgot some water we ask for. When we finaly got the food one plate was messed up. Food was good. A bit to expensive but it took us two hours to have dinner in a half empty restaurant. They are severely understaffed.
Let me start by saying I've been craving the lobster bisque soup for a while and I only have one friend that likes seafood so she picked me up we went to have the lobster bisque and of course it was superb. But we also ordered calamari and it came out like rubber but by the time we were able to tell our server and she was going to order another one by then we were already full so we didn't want to have to cook make another one. Then we told her at the time we ordered that we are going to take home that new mac and cheese with all the bacon on it, a picture looks like a lot and it looked really good, so we each took one home couple hours later I went to go just have a few bites of it and I open it up there's no bacon on it, the portion was so little it didn't look anything like the picture so I called my friend to check hers, same thing, so we were both pretty disappointed. She called the manager he did give her money back on her credit card but I really wanted that bacon mac and cheese I guess that's another lesson to learn even check the restaurant to go food. But I still will go to Red lobster because the food is really good it seems like they have a shortage of staff hence the big sign above the restaurant saying that they do walk in interviews I guess times are tough for everyone.
I had a wonderful dinner, I repeat for another occasion. I totally recommend it and especially the bread that it serves us before dinner and the girl who attended us spectacular and efficient in the orders
I love the new 15 meals under $20. I got the Asian style crispy shrimp with noodles . It's flavorful and the shrimp was light and crispy. The sauce was sweet, spicy and just the right amount that the noodles are not swimming in it. My partner got the admiral feast and it was just a tad salty so ask them to go easy on the salt. Service was great and prompt. There was a 20 minute wait but that's understandable because it was lunch and they want to control the capacity.
The bar was just sad. There was barely any alcohol. Food was okay... definitely not uniformed with other RL's I've been to as far as food presentation. Wait times are terrible & they are majorly understaffed. Sad.
Came here for my Birthday Friday. I ordered the admirals feast alot of food the lobster was a tad overcooked the sea salt fries were soggy but everything else was good not really worth almost 50.00 you pay for just that dish Boyfriend had the surf and turf the steak was perfectly cooked but again lobster overcooked I also had a Fireside Martini which was good .wasn't a perfect meal but we did leave satisfied
