Beautiful little camping area. Don't expect a wilderness retreat - the campground is literally a few minutes walk from downtown Grand Forks. While in the camping area, it is very hard to tell that you are so close to downtown - there is a large grass berm/dike surrounding the park making it feel much more secluded than it is. We've stayed here multiple times, in different spots with different levels of service and all of our stays have been fantastic.

We are working to complete the MN Hiking Club Trails and we stopped to complete the hike here while passing through town. Was a little disappointed with the hiking club trail because it took us down residential streets and not on hiking trails like we usually see at state parks and state recreation areas. The picnic areas looked nice though and if you're not looking for a hike, but just a nice place to walk the dog, it's a nice park.
