Wonderful 10 degree day to exercise the dogs and walk the MN State Patks Hiking Club Trail. Trail was packed for hiking or snowshoeing, no ski trails.

If you're looking for a big park experience or lots of hiking, you won't find it here. You also won't find it crowded! The river is the focus of this park and it's hard to find a prettier section. Rustic is a good way to describe the amenities here with pit toilets and only the most basic of structures.

Our family loved the simplicity of this small quiet park. There is no staff on site and the park is fully self service however it is nicely cared for and maintained. The walking paths are mostly flat and grassy, suitable for strollers, and they wind through Pine Forest and Oak Forest areas along the Vermillion and Mississippi rivers.

There was no amenities as I was led to believe and no helpers around. Not once did I see a staff member of the state park there. With that being said it is very small and very cozy

On the small side for a state park, and very rustic, but quiet trails for hiking and great water access; right from the campground.
