Good place to camp if you can get a spot. If you're going to use the shower in the campground it's rusty looking just like the Red Mudd in this area so you might want to wear something you can clean part with they don't call it Ironton for the hell of it. The mountain biking trails are well-maintained even in the winter for fat bikes. There's also good trout fishing in the mine lakes . These Lakes are the clearest I've ever seen with a lake depth of 500 feet makes this place pretty magical! Beware of the mosquitoes later in the summer it can be a deal-breaker

As a local rider, I am proud to say this is my home. I have traveled to other trails around Minnesota and for some reason the Cuyuna trails just stand out better in such a unique way. You truly can't find this type of quality, friendly atmosphere anywhere. So much fun! The town is growing, more tourists are coming in. This is definitely a must to Ride and see for yourself.

Caught a bunch of beautiful rainbow trout on a blustery cold day. We were warm as could be in our portable and had an amazing day on this frozen lake. Anxious to do it again.

With a cabin near the Cuyuna area, we love to take advantage of this spot. Both biking the trails and swimming the crystal waters are highlights for my family. Bike trails are well labeled and many levels of difficulty are offered. Check out the overlook for a beautiful panoramic view of the area!
