REI has great stuff, but it is so freaking expensive, and their coupons have a lot of exclusions, but if you know what you want, and want a solid product for the outdoors, then this is the place to go. The Lynnwood store is smaller and doesn't carry much inventory, but the staff are awesome and I had multiple great experiences learning about equipment and being helped by those folks. The Bellevue store is much larger and has more inventory, but there are never staff members around when you need them (often only when you don't need them, are they around). I suggest that you do your research for whatever product you are interested in, and again, REI has great, quality products, but they are just too expensive most times. Their "sales" and "clearances" really are not much to speak of either. $10 off a $150 pair of pants is not a sale or a clearance.

I came into this REI to find a new overnight backpack for an upcoming camping trip. I had a ton of questions and really had no idea where to start. One of the sales associates, Melanie, was super helpful and answered all my questions. She stayed with me for about an hour to get fitting into a new pack and I felt super happy with my purchase!

REI is always such an awesome place! All the associates are very helpful and polite. My only complaint is that this new Bellevue store is very confusing to navigate. The layout is not as intuitive as previous ones. Plus, despite having all the vertical space there are no hanging signs to help identify the areas.

Charged me 160 for a tune up and a rear wheel that costs double what it does on Amazon. But I figured it'd be worth it for the 'in person' experience of someone knowledgeable. My rear tire popped on the first ride after the tuneup because the tech didn't seat the rear tire, just blasted it to 110psi right away. Also, I noticed a high speed wobble after my tune I've never had before, turns out the entire bolt running through the head tube was loose. Could've killed me. 

I will say, they did a good job fixing the shifting and cleaning the dirt off my bike, but I feel like I could've done that myself in an afternoon. You're better off at the big cycling shop on Bellevue Way.
