I was so impressed by this clinic. I've been to naturopaths and acupuncturists over the years who went to Bastyr, and they have all been excellent. Because I don't have insurance at the moment and try to avoid antibiotics due to previous health issues, I contacted them. I was able to schedule an appointment the day of and found the student doctor to be attentive, incredibly knowledgeable, understanding, and excellent at translating my symptoms into layman's terms. In the evening, when I went to pick up my prescription at my local pharmacy, the pharmacist told me they had no record of my prescription. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Bastyr clinic was still open that late in the evening, and while the doctor I saw was no longer on shift, the receptionist I spoke with contacted the on-call doctor, who was able to locate my prescription and resolve the issue in less than 10 minutes. The pharmacist hadn't looked in the right spot. All this to say--I am so glad this clinic exists. It's affordable, the doctors really listen to you, and communicate clearly. Highly recommend.
Amazing experience at the Bastyr teaching clinic! It was the first place I had acupuncture twenty years ago, and so many years later I am so happy I went back for a whole body reset. I already feel better after only one visit. Thank you Dr. Frieling and student whose name I never got, looking forward to my next appointment :
Going forward, I will not be seeing Dr.Fresonke for any Women’s Health visits. 5 stars because I still love Bastry and will continue my holistic care here As someone healing through past trauma of being abused and sharing a lot of similar beliefs and values as staff I’ve met here, I had always looked forward to going to my appointments here. I always felt so safe and well taken care of in the most natural and holistic way. Until one day I didn’t. When I met Dr.Fresonke. She is not pro-choice-friendly and spoke to me in a biting tone my entire visit. She interrogated me on my sovereign decisions. After I shared with her my own facts after doing my own research along with what has worked for me in the past, she quickly dismissed me and shockingly “fact-checked” me with her Western medicine approach considering where she’s employed. When she figured this was going to be an unsuccessful approach to trying to change my mind, she swiftly walked out of my room while making a loud statement to the lady sitting near the door with sadly another very false “fact” she meant for me to hear During this appointment, I began to feel unsafe, uncomfortable, and anxious. I knew she was possibly going to be there during my exam, possibly partaking in it. I wish I had canceled my appointment right then and there and re-scheduled with a different doctor before she touched me but I am still working through not abandoning myself like this and healing people-pleasing tendencies so that I can continue to make better and more empowering decisions for myself During my exam, I felt bad watching Dr.Fresonke speak to her students with a vexed tone telling them what to do. They did not deserve this behavior towards them and I truly hope her behavior does not negatively influence her younger student. The women I felt safe with from the beginning, Rhonda, assured me that I did not need to do anything I did not want to do after Dr.Fresonke walked out of my room. She understood me when I shared my feelings with her and told her that I would never be seeing Dr.Fresonke again
I've been bringing my Dad here for years. First to the student clinic and then we recently switched to the direct practitioner side and now he's receiving acupuncture. Everyone we've seen has been a literal God send during very difficult times in my Dad's health. He's been very relieved to have a natural second opinion and support in the care he's receiving medically. He has nothing but raving reviews after his first acupuncture appointment which brought him great relief. I don't know what I'd do without this place - the senior pricing makes this accessible to my Dad.
This place is Amazing! At least 11 Stars I always feel comfortable. The students are so nice and the doctors are knowledgeable and effective! Everyone works together so smoothly. I have been coming here for 2 years now and I am completely satisfied with my care! They have exceeded my expectations! I would trust them completely with my children. I simply can't say enough positive things about this place! WOW!
I absolutely recommend Bastyr for natural health. They strike a very healthy balance between natural remedies and science based pharmaceuticals and always with the utmost care for your health and the thoroughness you deserve from your Doctor and/or medical team. I've been homeless for a few years and battling several health issues and the team there and students really have gone above and beyond to get me the treatments, care, and resources that I need. They've never looked down on me or treated me differently in any way, but have routinely showed me how much they care and want to help. Highly recommended.
I’ve always had a good experience here with the teaching clinic. My most recent visit was very helpful in diagnosis and receiving physiomedicine care , so grateful to be taken seriously! My only other feedback is that is can be somewhat difficult to make an appointment by phone as they may be busy try calling a few times at different points of the day. Thank you especially to dr rosica and the phys med team for helping me out
This is the best acupuncture I’ve ever had. I just had my first one today and already feel better. Prof. Dr. Aguilar is very very knowledgeable and experienced. After a conversation with me, which I was amazed by, I’ve never had acupuncturist sat down with me and got to know me first, usually this is in the questioner before your visit, this showed me he cares about what he does and the acupuncture itself was very smooth. I hardly make any recommendations, but this one is a winner!

Fantastic support. Super helpful. I feel so much better after working with them a month, especially considering that I didn't feel better after years with mainstream medicine.
